Well as a Squad/Team that runs in leagues, I have to say they dropped the ball on this patch!! My main problem is that you cant leave a squad and then rejoin on the new squad leader right away as before. Where did anyone ever complain about that. Why the hell did they change the time frame of leaving and then rejoining the squad? It really doesnt make any since. Then from the get go everyone b..... that there was no chance for the ground pounders cause of all the dam vehicles, so they put in even more and make it so you can drop them anywhere. That is the stupidest sh.. I have ever heard of!! What kind of BS is that? I have been happy with what they have been doing so far but this patch sucks!!!

Yup Another new member who has registered just to vent their spleen about this absolute NONSENSE of a patch. Their are an abundance of you around right now.

Best thing to do would be to either just not play BF2 or revert back to 1.22.......that is what I did...much sweeter....why put yourself throguh the pain? I reckon that even some of the servers that have 'upgraded' to 1.3 will soon revert back to 1.22 by popular demand.

I dont believe anyone could just play less than an hour in a jet on BF2 and then just jump in a fighter and clock up 19 kills in less than 15 minutes......cos I know a lot of folk who play BF2 a lot and none are good in jets simply cos they have not had enough practice in them....It will take about 10-15 hours for anyone to get just competent in the jets and about 35-40 before they get REALLY good.......at least!

Dont you think its possible that someone could have practiced on single player and gotten good before going online? I've seen that happen many times. If it takes 10-15 hours for someone just to become competent, they have no business flying. Competence should come within 1-2 hours and to be REALLY good should take no more than 5. At least with the skill level of my friends, thats all it took. Its no big thing to be a really good pilot.

That length of time is what it took me......by competent I dont mean cpabale of flying the ****ing thing without crashing it...I mean being capable of picking out targets and destroying them and avoiding being wiped out by the first jet that tails you.....

Look numbnuts, I have low rank on BF2 cos not played as much as some.....but I am consistently one of best pilots on every round I play as pilot in...I know who is good and who aint and I know how long it takes......

Suppose you learned to drive after 3 lessons as well......to formula 1 standard of course!!!.....maybe you and all yer mates are just super talented compared with me and all my mates?

Matt I have been registered for quite some time but never had much to say just liked to read the forums, but at this point, yes I am in here to b.... and moan about the patch. I have enjoyed the game till now but this really blows. Have you or anyone else have an issue with your weapons changing out of the blue as well? I guess just another fine example of this patch.

So, is it worth it to download the new patch and start playing again? I havent played since 1.21. For me it was just too buggy and the proformence was horrible compaired to what it was when it first came out. I mean I bought a Athlon 3700+, gig of ram and a 7800GT and couldnt play with settings at full. Then I reinstalled playing 1.0 and decided I wasnt going to play till they fixed it.

well all I don't get it. I get the patch and now I can't even get the game to start. Then I try to reload the patch and it keeps telling me I don't have the previous patch right back to patch 1.12. DOGH. I will try to download the full patch and go from there. I love the game but somtimes it makes me want to start smoking again. If anyone has had same issue and resolved it, please help a brother out

ACTUALLY I JUST CHECKED YOUR STATS, ALMOST 2 HOURS IN JETs WITH 49 KILLS TO 77 DEATHS

THE ARMOUR RECORD HOWEVER GIVES AWAY WHAT SORT OF PLAYER YOU ARE. ARMOUR WHORE, WHO PLAYS WITH MATE AS DOUBLE ENGINEER ARMOUR COMBINATION THAT JUST SITS AND RAPES A SPAWN POINT FOR THOUSANDS OF KILLS, CONSTANTLY FIXING EACH OTHER UP....DOING NO TEAM WORK AT ALL......JUST CLOCKING MEGA HIGH POINTS.........dont that $hite get boring after 320 hours of it!!!???

Also I notice you tend to have a very high record of being on winning side.......You also must tend to pick the team that you think is going to win or swap near the ned a lot to get double points added to your profile for being on winning team.

Gah, 350 from 1,000 hours is whoring? I play full map rotations, don't choose servers due to the maps they run, and 90% of the time I stay on the team I'm given.

Due to my slow computer on tank 'whoring' maps (Karkand, Mashtuur) I never get the tank. If I can get a tank I'll take it, the reduced view window boosts my frame rate and game speed. I usually play a variety of other classes on infantry maps.

And btw you don't get double points for being on the winning side, but the winning commander gets double his teams average score.

Which begs the question, who the fsck are you to go around making all these accusations and criticisms when you clearly don't even understand the games most basic elements, like scoring?

Im so happy every one is enjoying the new patch. I just downloaded and now my bf2 dose not f**king work. It keeps crashing me to my desktop. I tryed installing the full patch and the same s**t happens. I updated my video drivers and still that did not f**king work. I even updated my punkbuster and nothing. All i see is my desktop. I dont know what is the problem with
EA when it come to ATI video card. This is a 350 dollor Radeon X800 XL 256mb video card. EA sucks the big one when it come to there games and the way they do things. I know me and a millon of pepple are have problems with this patch. And this is not the only forum im going to post this on.

I understand you're having problems and upset. I've been there. But what does sharing that with us do? How does it contribute to the community? You didn't even ask a question. Not sure what the point of this thread was but it'll probably end up being closed and/or delted soon. Just at least try to be constructive when you complain. Makes more sense, y'know?

I'm not sure that's a good idea. Constructive criticism=A OK, big thumbs up. Complaining without content equals userban over useless and uninformative posts.

Jesus Christ......I have scrolled through a few pages....do you guys freakin cut a paste your comments for every patch release? It is the same thing over and over and over again......you have got almost a year out of this product, use it as a coaster now and stop playing, your lives would be less stressful that way considering how upset you guys get over a video game patch....give up, EA is not going to change anything cause you say they suck donkey b*lls on this forum....

I have the Exact same vid card and this patch is fully operational for me, you may have other problems non EA related...remember for every doofus that post about how messed up their crap is, there are hundreds of people like me who has never had an issue with any patch/expansion/booster

Well I dont know were this forum is located. But in America there is a thing called freedom of speach. So close this post and band me too. Thats fine at lease I got you Jofaba to read it. I paid $50 for the game when it first came out. Then i had to buy a video card to play it cuz it did not support the one i had. I not saying the game is bad. In fact im adicted to it. The reason for that post was. If y0u have an ATI video card dont download the new patch. As you can see there is no question for me to ask cuz i did all i can to to try to fix the problem, or can you jofaba can think of an idea that i did not try.
basicly im going to have to wait till the next patch come out to fix this problem. And if you an all the fourm staff delete the post. Then no one will know that there is a real problem with this patch.

So if enyone is haveing this problem with bf2 crashing to desktop and was able to fix it. Please let me know thank you. And you too Jofaba

I haven't played this one yet but from what you're talking about...this patch seems as ****.

BF2 will NEVER have normal AA/SA because it's done with too primitive physics. It will be either almost always hit or almost always miss. There is nothing in between. Most rockets in RL always hit the target. Once you get a lock on your ass..you better eject. So it was done before. They should change it back as it was(80% chance of getting shot down by AA/SA).

Don't really understand why they changed anything in server browsing. It was OK. They should've removed automatic favourites.

I'm happy that they listened us about award ranking. It's much much better now.

Hopefully we'll get a hotfix soon.

@Poco Loco, i have an Ati and have no problem so thats not it. But i'm curious, do you happen to be running a ***** .exe? If so, you need to have the original .exe before you patch. I've read a lot of other people having the same problem, and i too suffered from that problem. I had to re-install and then patch with the original.

Just thought that might be your problem.

Edit: when i patched over the *****, it would start to load and then crash to desktop with no errors. I dont know if thats what you're getting.

FYI, the ati 6.5 cats were just released.

I have the original. And I have not had any problem since i got the game other than having to buy a new video card. All the other patches work. and i was all up to date with the patches. In fact i was playing 3 hours of bf2 yesterday. With patch 1.22. Then last night i saw patch 1.3 was out so i downloaed it. And it just crash to the desktop. I did not read this forum when i put my post. But now i see im not the only one. Alot of peps are haveing problem with this patch. Im trying now to find the full 1.22 patch. so i can play before i go insane. I hope i lets me patch it back to 1.22:hmm:
