I love this mod, I love using the avenger, I was playing on the same server as UH60 for a little bit this afternoon (well, afternoon for me).

I loved alot about this mod, only real complaint i have is with the M249, its way inaccurate when prone.

I played a couple rounds last night and I have to say I'm quite impressed, I really like the sound effects especially. The guns in vanilla sound like airsoft guns compared to the tough sounds in this mod.

I have yet to play the new Mod as I am downloading it now. People appear to be complaining about the DL/Rate, it certainly is not an issue with me as I am a filecloud registered user, not a paying one and I am receiving the file at a constant 205kb/s, I have been DL for about 8 minutes now and am at 11%. If you are trying this at home, make sure your browser is only vieiwing this file and not skimming yahoo or google or something else and make sure your other computers are not doing the same. Hope to see you all on the Battlefield.

You downloaded a .rar file, unzip it using winrar or something, to a file, then run the .exe file and there you go.

I played a few rounds of this mod last night. Overall, the mod is nice. My biggest gripe is that infantry feels roughly equal to vanilla BF2, if not a little worse. I think the best thing that mods like OPK and PRMM have going for them is that the infantry combat dynamic is changed through increased damage. Recoil of the guns seemed to be reduced, but I either had to pump 5 bullets into a guy to kill him, or the deviation of the guns is just so much that I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Also, the sniper rifles seem incredibly inaccurate. In any case, I didn't enjoy the few rounds of Basrah Nights that I played (in part because the other team was being lame and spawncamped the hell out of us, but that's beside the point).

On the other hand, the vehicle aspect of this mod was handled beautifully. I think complaints about airpower being overpowered will die down once people discover the Stinger/Grail, and the awesome Iraqi AA vehicle.

On an unrelated note, I noticed that in a lot of newly released mods, spawncamping and baseraping uncappable main bases are pretty rampant. It's probably because the children want to play with the new toys that are on the opposite team, but remember kids, that's no excuse. Uncappable baseraping is lame. Switch teams if you wanna play with the opposite team's vehicles.

we are sorry about what happened with the release, this mistake will not happen again. This is the first time USI has ever released, and we are bound to make mistakes. The important thing is that it is out, and people can now download it. Please be patient with the servers, i hope people will put up more servers. Thank you for download and enjoy.

It's one thing to apologize when you are at fault, when money is riding on the release. However, I don't feel you should apologize to any public member willing to start a rant/bitch fest simply because they either have to wait too long, or because they have nothing good to say.

Again, I think those that complained and bitched should be the ones apologizing, not the creators.

If you should all remember, when BF2 demo was first released on gamespot.com, no one else had exclusive rights to have it right away, so people like me got the file within minutes where-as most others had to wait.

These things take time to propogate, and although the USI team could have taken a little extra time pushing the files to other servers for more various downloads, it really isn't that big of a freaking deal.

Your apology is not accepted, not because I'm an ass, but because I feel there is no need for you to apologize.

Thanks for the mod, I'm sure most of us will enjoy it. I know I enjoy anything new.
