Wish I can say the same.

Ok, I am now done with this mod. Sucks cause it looks great. To bad I can't get the damn thing to work. Overview: Whats it doing? When create local, or join a server, when the map loads to 14% BF2 crashes to desktop. What have you done to try to fix the problem? I have re-booted. I have tried to un-install, which it wont allow. Says I moved or changed the un-install exe. "which I have not" So I just re-installed over. I have went in and deleted it from the BF2 folder and all shortcuts. Then re-installed again. Nothing works. So F*** it. I wait for the final version or someone to tell me to try something else.

Are you talking about the video.con file? If not then what and how I fix this texture libraries?

              I DL'd the mod....now how do I install it???

              It's not an automatic install...
...it's just the OPK_0.1d.zip and a .EXE file.
              Where does it go???

              Thanks!

Launch the exe file, and I think it will find your MOD directory on its own.

Gotta say good job to Jofaba on the review. Was playing with him in game and he asked if I had read it, I hadn't at the time. But good work!

Anyway, being a beta test for the mod, I must say that it can only get better. It does have the advantage of being the only complete conversion mod that you can play. I agree with Jofaba on the maps, they are one of the best aspects of the mod, but Tutin likes to give me hell when I play it. I'll load the map, get in, frames will drop from their usual 60-70 to about 15-30, and shortly into the game I will either lock up or I will keep on playing. Thats definately not the mods fault, its because my system is not yet up to date like most peoples. Anyway, the mod plays great...actually makes me thankful for buying BF2 in the first place.

Re: TotalBF2 Reviews Operation Peacekeeper v0.1D

Overall, a fairly good review. Most of the main points are covered, although I think some of the "gameplay" aspects can go a tad more in-depth on. Once you play this mod for 5-10 hours, some of the flawing aspects arise from the built game mode.

Choppers are overpowered, not as much in their defensive capabilities, but their offensive capabilities. They can lock on and take out jets/opposing choppers, lock on and take out ground vehicles (no need for manual guiding), or manually guide missiles from the gunner command. While their armament is balanced out forcing you to circle back to the base to re-arm, they're too easy to rape with.

I think the ground vehicles are perfect in this game. No longer is it indestructible tanks & APCs as in vanilla BF2, but instead, it's a mix of well-armored, lightly armored, and medium armored vehicles. You have AA, infantry cannons, armored transports, unarmored transports, and neat little features that bring the mod together.

Sniping is well-balanced. Most of the rifles do have misfires, even in proned positions. Headshots yield instant kills irregardless of the rifle. I think it's for the good though that classes such as Supplymen DO NOT have grenades. Instead, they can only throw limitless land mines, and not limitless grenades like BF2 Supply troops.

Unfortunately, while most of the community is impressed by the maps, I think some of them suffer from the placement of the spawns. Too many people spawn camp in this game, and it seems like a simple infantryman can hop into an empty vehicle, and simply sit there unharmed. Perhaps the dev team should mix up some of the spawning locations so teammates can spawn behind enemy vehicles inside non-cappable spawns. I don't mean mix the spawn points, just where YOU are spawned inside a non-cappable spawn to make it more difficult for vehicles to sit away and rape you.

Other than, AWESOME for a demo beta. It's the best we've seen in the BF2 community so far, and I really hope this rises to be a Frontline Force aka mod as in the original Half-Life, or even something more developed. Most of all, it's a foreign mod which impresses me the most, as some effort was put in expressing this mod to the western community.

There's no artyllery either in game!
When EA Games released a patch what adds getting 1 point from blowing up arty uav etc. There began a major baseraping season! This mod should be baseraping free!

Great looking mod. The terrain is gorgeous and maps are well thought-out. Awesome weapons and great new vehicles.

Unfortunately, though, the game reboots my system at random intervals. I have played for as long as an hour or as little as 20 minutes and then everything stops, I get a screeching sound in my headphones, and the system reboots.

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro with newer (6.2) Catalyst drivers. I suspect that the problem may be fixed by rolling back to 5.5 or earlier because I've tried just about everything else (turning off EAX/Hardware sound, increase AGP aperture to 256 MB, setting graphics to medium, etc.)

But this is a Beta, so I'm not discouraged. It comes with the territory. When the final release comes out, I won't hesitate to download it. Excellent mod! :salute:

You're the second or so person to mention reboots. I wonder, since there's a known sound issue and you mention a screeching before the reboot (which the other person didn't mention), if it's a sound card issue. Do you use a soundcard, or is it onboard? Are you sharing an IRQ with a videocard?

I have a SB Audigy card and the vidcard and soundcard don't share IRQs.
