Re: Operation Peacekeeper v0.1D Released
Been playing the BFCon release off this for a couple of days, and gotta give it a big thumbs up.
Some great new stuff, in game. The maps deserve a very special mention. So many trees in ambush, real forests and big hills to go trecking over. Borders infiltration is intense, with lots of long grass that you can actually hide in, without LoD probs, where you think your hidden, except everybody else sees you lying on a bowling green...not here, true concealment. And Turin, is a great urban battle ground.
As I say well impressed with there map design. The weapons, im still trying to get used too, though a firm favourite so far is the silenced spec ops guns - excellent in Borders infiltration, for hiding in cover and being a right sneaky bastad :) .
A bit hmmmm about the helis, could do with a tad more manouverability, especially to aid coming out of dives, were bettered by the BF2 ones in that deaprtment. The laser guided missiles on the german tiger are interesting and a nice addition, though havent figured out the full functioanlity of all its weapon sytsems as yet.
And finally like the mobile AA - no missiles, but the guns sure chew up the helis.
Negative, the sound bug. First few times i played it, was wondering who the hell was doing all the shooting, it seemed right in my ear hole. Reckon they could get that fixed no probs.
All in all well worth a download
