    Re: Operation Peacekeeper v0.1D Released

Been playing the BFCon release off this for a couple of days, and gotta give it a big thumbs up.

Some great new stuff, in game. The maps deserve a very special mention. So many trees in ambush, real forests and big hills to go trecking over. Borders infiltration is intense, with lots of long grass that you can actually hide in, without LoD probs, where you think your hidden, except everybody else sees you lying on a bowling green...not here, true concealment. And Turin, is a great urban battle ground.

As I say well impressed with there map design. The weapons, im still trying to get used too, though a firm favourite so far is the silenced spec ops guns - excellent in Borders infiltration, for hiding in cover and being a right sneaky bastad :) .

A bit hmmmm about the helis, could do with a tad more manouverability, especially to aid coming out of dives, were bettered by the BF2 ones in that deaprtment. The laser guided missiles on the german tiger are interesting and a nice addition, though havent figured out the full functioanlity of all its weapon sytsems as yet.

And finally like the mobile AA - no missiles, but the guns sure chew up the helis.

Negative, the sound bug. First few times i played it, was wondering who the hell was doing all the shooting, it seemed right in my ear hole. Reckon they could get that fixed no probs.

All in all well worth a download

ya, it's just a simple mixup in the 1p and 3p sounds... guilty of doing that one myself.

CTD can happen when you have a Radeon 9*** and not a new Catalystdriver.

Soudnbug happen on high, reduce to medium then it´s fixed. We search the bug, but can´t solve it so fast,

great job! vehicles, maps....everything is very exiciting....
the animation of the heli with its opening sides to let out people is one of the many little features in this mod
I really like the handling of guns and rifles.....very nice massive gun-sound!
the often before mentioned gun-sound-problem is a bit nasty....
every BF2-Fan should download and try this mod out!

See you on the battlefield, soldiers!

Guy thats are crashing to desktop (CTD). Don't try and play single player cause it won't work. It's not even supported to work.

If you've tried the other mods you'll find that bots aren't on custom maps (yet?(patch 1.3 perhaps?)).

                  Re: Operation Peacekeeper v0.1D Released

Just finished playing about 2 hours of OPK... and I must say I was very impressed. All the new weapons, vehicles, maps, and sounds are fantastic! Maps, although were designed for mostly vehicle combat, also provide excellent cover for infantry! I started almost every match in a vehicle, but most of the time I'd end up on foot after my vehicle was well battered. At first I thought I'd get slaughtered on foot, but with the excellent (and realistic) cover, I was able to survive and kill without a problem. What really helps this mod out is the fact that you can kill an enemy with one shot! You don't have to shoot someone 5 times to kill them like you do in vanilla BF2. I saw several skilled snipers defend themselves using only a handgun... which is the way it should be!

As with any total conversion mod, I expected new sounds. However, I did not expect sounds with the superior quality that this mod has. A couple sounds I noticed were thunder in the bg, (very cool sounding) wind, (really adds to the realism) new reloading sounds, and the sound of the helos from inside and out is simply jaw-dropping!

I give this mod a 9/10 personal rating. Didn't really notice any problems with the mod myself, but from what I hear there's some kind sound bug going around... so I had to give it a 9 instead of a 10.

All in all, this mod has a TON of potential! We're only at version .1 here boys... imagine what we'll get with version 1.0. :)

Excellent maps and statics - outstanding job guys! Game play dyanmics were still a bit too vBF2 for me and the weapons are certainly soemthing that take a bit of getting used to.

                    Very nice job!

I hate when assholes ruin the game.

I was trying it out, and i see the chopper. I love choppers, so i get in, hoping to try out the new weapons.(I was a gunner).

So, when i get in, he won't fly away.

He and his pal(Who was a commander) Was whores.

So he gets out, starts a kick vote against me and blows up the chopper.

After that i TK'd them 'till i got banned. Man i hate those people.

Only 1 problem now though..i have no server to play on =/

Its pretty good. Got real potential. I get awesome lag on some of the maps though. I think you need to lighten up on the overgrowth, its killing my computer

Some of the statics are beautiful too.
