Desert Conflict Mod Update

There is a new update posted today over at the Desert Conflict mod website. They are back with some new renders of their A-10. Take a look:

The A/OA-10 Thunderbolt II is the first Air Force aircraft specially designed for close air support of ground forces. They are simple, effective and survivable twin-engine jet aircraft that can be used against all ground targets, including tanks and other armored vehicles.

Looks nice, but I'm sort of confused about the skin. One set of renders makes it looks really plain, but the other is more shiny. How will it look in-game?

Thanks for posting our news. I love comming here to see what people think. So far everyone has been very helpfull in assesing what people think or our work.

We are getting a lot closer to a propper release of the first wave of vehicles, along with a few new gpm's.

Wow, awesome job there guys!
The DCon team is making great progress, for sure!

The only little wee thing I see wrong with the skin is the USAF insignia -- they're a tidbit too clean in comparison with the rest of the aircraft. Other than that, everything looks teh secks

Wow, Amazing Model! Love the looks of it, especially with specular lighting enabled, really makes the bolts stand out!

One thing though, no A-10's have that black outline around the canopy as was skinned on your model. Might want to remove that, it makes the canopy look awkward.

To be honest it looks like a toy, no dirt whatsoever and the texture is way too flat. The bump map is not set up correctly, seeing some places it is way too heavy but other places not notable.

Would you be down to do a few skins for us? Sounds like you have some great tips, and we can always use an expert.

Drop in an let us know. We have a few models bundled and in game waiting, and I would love to get another set of hands skinning.

Incorrect, it looks bad ass, plain and simple. Maybe we just keep our planes nicely washed. We do have forum members who volunteer to wash our cars, instead we make them scrubb our A-10. Maybe its brand new (except for the engine). Either way, just take a deep breath, I promise its all going to be fine.
