the 360s pretty fruity, why dont you go play its pathetic watered down version of battlefield?

i like consoles, but only for zelda and the good old mario kart games, and 360 has none of em, just watered down first person shooters.

really, i fly very seldom but it does require skill to bomb people.

and there are tons of threats in planes, stingers enemy planes etc, try flying yourself and see. youll be shot down on takeoff.

Plus with the incoming change of career,gf and general lack of time I'd rather have a console when I get spare time.

and it's fun you mention about being shot down as soon as I take off.
When I had to get in a plane for what 10mins or so I wasn't challenged once I just few round and round till got my badge ahhhh Thank You!

My clan has 1-2 challenges per week...

We are currently 8-0. We play Wake, Gulf or Dragon..

While the other team flies around with their chopper kiddie and
jet kiddie, we have 2 extra squad members to take their bases
quickly. WE HAVE NOBODY IN THE AIR. Except when transport from
a carrier to land is needed, WE WASTE NO TIME DROPPING BOMBS
ON ENEMIES THAT WILL RESPAWN IN 15 SECS ANYHOW.

AIRCRAFT in BF2 are all hype, all for show, but NO HELP to your
team whatsoever. NONE. Although it gets annoying getting
spammed with bombs on public servers, yes. AIRCRAFT in BF2
are worthless to a team.

We are 8-0. Oh sure, a squadmember or 2 will get bombed.. but
we take their bases so quickly they eventually give up the air effort
and have to either start chopper capping or trying to take back all
the bases we took while they were all goofing off in the air.

A good team doesnt need aircraft in battlefield 2...as a matter of fact,
we actually hope the other team wastes their time with it..

Give me 2 more infantry squad members over a couple of air whores
any day.

Jets especially are worthless in this game. Nothing but window
dressing, a selling feature, and apparently something for the kiddies
to do with that joystick daddy bought them. Other than that, they are
TOTALLY USELESS.

How many times you or your teammates get bombed by a friendly?
Happens to me allllllllll the time.. especially on the spam-haven 64 player
servers.

How many times you see air whores with 100 points and only 2 team points?
That tells you right there they're worthless.."b-b-b-but they kill enemies
with their bombs and blah blah blah.." yeah, kill one of us and we got 8 more
gonna take that base anyways.

How many times you see those little retard kiddies take the jeeps for a
150 foot ride to the runway, all so they can get to their precious jet
3 seconds quicker.. then while your teammates are looking for rides to try
and actually do something for your team, there they are..1 or 2 of them
sitting at the end of the runway. NOOBS.

How many times you see a bunch of your noob teammates on the carrier
all with their fingers stuck up their ass waiting for a chopper or jet..
I see this on wake island so much its pathetic. I usually have 10 points
before half my team even makes it to land, and then they just dogfight,
which is a useless thing to do in this game.

How many times you see the rule 'no uncapable base raping' hahahahahaha
gimme a fuggin break.. how often is that followed? especially on carrier maps.

I learned from Battlefield Vietnam how the helos/planes could mass kill almost anything on the map... only thing that could really shoot you down "if you were a good pilot" was lucky shots from other helos while ur shooting rockets at ground troops.. thats funny to me... but anyways.. when i started BF2 i could sense the power in the AIR, so i ground pounded left and right till i got "some" skill in that.... then i decided to give the AIR a shot... found my calling in the Jets, would be one of those people who could score 50 kills a round with like 10 deaths.. but if we ever lost more than half the flags.. im bailing to get them back.. another thing just like someone else posted... once you fly Jets and you know how/where to bomb.. when you ground pound you know where to stay away from.... and never, i repeat never sit in a AA site WAITING on a Jet, u might as well suicide yourself and start over :)

Do you have a 360? Have you played any of the games for it? There aren't many good games for it yet, but most systems take a while to launch a bunch of good games.
Need for speed underground is amazing, and the graphics are unparalleled. Fight night round 3 is awesome. If you like sports games Top Spin tennis 2 is one of the best sports titles ever. NBA 2k6 and College hoops 2k6 are both extremely solid and realistic basketball titles. And the new HALO which will more than likely be called Forerunner, will be out soon. The 360 has much more than watered down FPS games.

would you stop whining and grow up already? cause you might as well go back to CS or WoW if your too stupid to realize Jets are a tool to be used, they are there for a reason. a Jet is only as good as the pilot that's in it, if he can't hit the broad side of a barn the Jet can't hit the broad side of a barn

flying Jets take skill, you'll learn that when you stop whining and actually try one, they are fast, in fact almost too fast (I had nearly stalled and was still going too fast to hit anything) and I've seen clips where people reloaded 5 times on bombs and did nothing but drop em on the biggest targets possibles, didn't hit anything

HAHAHA.... yeah... ANYONE can fly...? I don't think so buddy... I see people take the jet and die taking off. I see people take the jet and die 10 seconds after takeoff. I see people crash. I see people miss bombs. I see people just flat out SUCK in the jet... but oh... anyone can fly.

You probably have only been in the jet a couple times, and SUCKED BALLS and render it as usless. It actually is not useless. For the ONE person it takes away, if you have a GOOD pilot, you won't have to worry about, tanks, heli's, AA, other jets, and other people on the ground. Sure, they respond in 15 seconds, but, thats time you can be capping the flag. Not to mention, the more kills they get, the more tickets that drains for the other team... So it is more likely you will win.

People wouldn't care about vehicle domination as much if they weren't obsessed with their stats and jealous of scores higher than their own.

If people were really about team work they'd like jets and pilots because they are an integral part of their own team. But instead, we have a bunch of guys running around trying to be an army of one, complaining about whatever rock beats their scissors, and hitting tab every 5 seconds to check their score.

Yes, I applaud Linus' ignorance. Bless his cotton socks, he believes that two pilots who can beat the living snot out everything that flies or moves are "useless"... Good jet pilots score a great deal of kills, many kills equal faster ticket drain. Bombs on attempted flag captures equal flag defences. Attack runs on an enemy base being attacked by ground troops increases the likelihood of capture. Strafing SAMs improves transport helo survivability. A precision strike on a group of armoured vehicles stops a base camp or attempted capture. Killing attack choppers using TV missiles on tanks, or cannon on troops and neutralising enemy bombers, obviously allows ground troopers to carry on fighting unhindered.
Yes, aircraft flown by accomplished pilots are useless...
