why dont they allow admins to make jets and choppers optional..

theres no skill in dropping bombs all game.. and even though the AA
guns are better, they're still useless on a lot of maps control points..
The jet is in and out before any hope of lock/fire/hit.

All these little jet kiddies ruin the fun.. I just played a game of Wake,
had 110 points.. all on infantry.. but I died 27 times.. 23 from the jet
spam. 4 deaths all game from ground fighting.. but yet my stats look
like crap because some noob drops bombs all game.. meanwhile he only
dies 7 times..

They just drop em on anything that moves.. server after server after
server, same stuff.. they'll drop bombs in the middle of their squad just
to get me.. thats funny as hell.. They get 100 points that game..
-6 team points (what a laugh..) and 7 deaths.. whee what skill.. NOT.

so much though.. cuz when you get caught on the ground you get
owned.

EA give us some GOOD maps without aircraft.. choppers arent as bad..
but the one with that cannon is noob city.. wheeee look at me hold down
the trigger..

Hear the whine. I cannot hear you clearly over the jet engine in my headphones. If you cannot stand the airpower go to Karkand or something.

To say that there is no skill in bombing is to deny the many pilots who do a good job. Bombing requires split second judgement as the risk of being banned for 6 Tk's is very real.

Perhaps the poor airdefense needs to be beefed up to balanced the so called noobish bombing. Or the airforce fighters need to actually shoot the bombers down. Or maybe the team should not gather in a group of 20 inviting bomb targets at one base instead of splitting up into several bases with few people per base.

Many things I can put here, but I gotta get some asprin now because that high pitched whine gives me a headache.

I love to see when map after map, one airwhore keeps dominating. Pulling in scores over a hundred every round and 2 deaths. Then you get to a map like Karkand and all of a sudden that person who dominated for hours is reduced to 20th place with 3x the deaths than his kills. I love that, I see it all day and night, lol. Another thing I hate is when your on foot, alone and some heli pilot follows you around shooting you with missiles while one of your teamates is capping a flag with an apc or tank. WTF, greedy ass bs. So few choppers compared to players in a game and some pilot is focusing on one foot soldier rather than capping flags , clearing out tanks and apc's. The majority of people play BF2 for fun, not for points. Seems to me that no pilot exists in BF2 that doesn't care about points. If I was only into flying I would get a sim and do some real ****e, not some repetitive ass bombing of defenseless infantry... That should get pretty old, pretty fast. Oh, unless you only care about points.

Jets are fine and AA is fine. If you don't like the jets get in another jet and shoot them down. That's still the best way to take out another jet.

Now, once we get into that though there ARE definitely certain jets that are A LOT better than others which isn't right.

Basically think of it this way. When your on Karkand getting raped by armor, it's usually because whoever has YOUR team's armor (if anyone) isn't using it right.

Haha I would definitely be an exception to that. I just started flying jets and I still usually end up with MUCH worse of a score than I would ground pounding it. I get hurt the most in teamwork points. I still haven't fine tuned my judgement yet so I still crash every once in awhile.

well I half agree - I'd say there is skill in flying

Altho it was bloody annoying last night on another wake server. The jets bombing everything before they can get off the carrier along with constant artillery bombardment didn't make a fun game...

but oh well, just wish they would have a stinger kit on some maps.

The whole point of flying is because it's the most fun part about BF2...

And points? WTF? A medic "whore" will get a LOT more points then a jet pilot...

Being raped by a jet? Get in another one yourself and shoot the bastard down! It's no problem at all, it might be a challenge if you are flying the F-35 and he is flying the J-10, but it's not impossible.

Bombing does take skill. I roll on in my tank while pilot after pilot drops bombs near me. Then a skilled pilot comes along and kills me with one pass. Don't say bombing takes no skill.

Secondly, if you can't deal with pilots getting high points, shoot them down. That'll stop 'em.

Thirdly, do you complain when one ground pounder dominates every round? I'd think not.

Basically, quityerbitchin and move on. A good pilot SHOULD stay in aircraft. Why would you want a good pilot's skills wasted running around when he can do so much more helping you in the air??? Oh, maybe because it isn't about teamwork to you?

Bottom line: deal with it.
