I don't fly choppers much (more of a jet fan), but I'm curious as to how this solo gunner trick works.
For the hell of it, I tried switching to the gunner seat in singleplayer and my helo begins to spin out of control immediately so I can't even line up my shot; how is this done?
Bassically get enough altitude and make sure your tv missile is at an alright angle not two high up not two low down, then hit f2 quickly hit the mouse 2 and fire the tv missile control it blast, hit f1 and you will be back to normal, higher in altitude but you don't actually notice it much.

yea and dont forgot to not over click. thats what i used to do when i was learning to tv guide. i was clicking too much and i';d end up overshooting my targets.
But wouldn't you like a chopper pilot like that on your side?
if he let someone be a gunner then there wouldnt be a problem, but what he is doing is wrong.. just like mogduck said bf2 would better off without selfish people.

all you do is get up high spot your target, turn left, change seats and fire - the other guy doesnt know anything about it
there was this clan guy doing this to me one match, so i did it to him - its pi$$ easy
you guys should try a skillful dogfight sometime, which involves normal missiles, and in turn involves trying to out maneuvre your opponent
dogfighting? dude its all about just getting in a j10 or mig which can outturn waaaaaaay faster than any of the american jets and go spam you missiles with an auto kill. digfighting was skill when it was pre patch 1.2 but its just about spamming. with tv guiding, u have to be precise when shooting and guiding your missile. dude not any noob can do it unlike jets were anyone can jump in get behind an f35 and spam.

i know there is still some skill involved in doing it sucessfully, but im a stickler for (what i call) fair play, and i believe if you take something out without them even knowing about it or having a chance to avoid/retailiate, its not very fair - another thing i hate is when im trying to dogfight a chopper and the co-pilot is taking me out with the TV's, while my own co-pilot is firing useless cannons at them (which only lets them know where i am)

i don't see why people have an issue switching from pilot to gunner. I do it when i'm lucky enough to be alone in the chopper....why would i want some noob gunner that doesn't know how to use tvs when i could have myself...or vice versa and have a noob pilot that has no clue whats going on. A tv missile shot is not a gimme everytime...it takes skill to chase things down that are moving. Both teams have choppers with tv missiles, so i don't see what the issue is.
