Let's see, Im still a bit of a n00b in some areas (only a cpl right now, dont get a lot of timw to play) but two ****ups come instantly to mind.
1. Was in a squad called 'blackhawk' and the leader/pilot said 'hey guys, lets do a HELO jump. All the other guys were like 'yeah man!' so we hovered way up over the target and we all jumped. This is where I blew it, as I thought the parachute opened automatically. Falling for ~10 seconds and then going splat cuz you didnt know there was a chute button makes you feel pretty dumb.
2. Was on the carrier on Wake and hopped in the VTO/L aircraft before two other guys running towards it got there. Well, good ol Wiggin ain't got a clue how to change the thrust (still dont :o ) so I go about 2 feet and topple into the water. Few people made some ****ed-off comments bout that one heheComment

Kamikazed into the carrier, didnt get used to a jet. 7 people with the nose, 5 people with the wings, and my wreck took out a full BH. Damn carrier campers.Comment

The first day I played BF2, I spent time, being very friendly, saying hello to everyone, letting people know I was new, apologising for any tk's, letting other people go first when it came to armour, etc.......................................only to find that I had spent the day on single player, and had been trying to being terribly courteous with a bunch of damn bots!Comment

my biggest mistake was getting into a blackhawk the first tme i played, getting it off the carrier and then teamkilling the entire bh plus another full bh because i crashed into it :P
i got a whole stack of teamkills and was kicked for "excessive teamkilling"

i think the stupidest moment i ever had was when i got my 15 death streak...i was doing fine as a medic on Oman and we ALMOST had one of the beach flags and i was DAMN determined to get that thing. i basically sprinted all the way to my death 15 times. DOH!Comment

That's not stupid at all because they tell you the CD number is somewhere other than where it is. I had that problem and both my friend's who got the game called me to ask where the number was. Search for it on the internet and you will find a bunch of pages that explain where that number is. :)umbest thing I did? OK, when I first got BF2, before I even installed it, I could NOT find the CD-Key. EA said it was supposed to be somewhere and it wasn't there. I looked through everything in the box. I was freaking out. "OMG defective BF2 NOOOO!" Then, I turned over the damn manual and there it was. What a relief
The dumbest thing I ever did was when I first got the game, I join a server, pick my kit and just sit there. Took me forever to figure out that I had to select a spawn point. I was getting soooo ****ed. . .I just couldn't figure out that I had to press one of those big white buttons
