We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
no, base raping is a bunch of ********, it shows that u have no skill whatsoever and all u care about is points. u think u are all so good at bf2 w/ your high ass ranks. screw u and your baseraping buddies. they should make a map w/ just infintry. i would be so much fun to play. oakenfold and your buddies would not even go close to that server. u all suck at bf2. we should set up a game on karkland or whatever w/ no vehicles. Baserapers vs people like me. i wonder who would win.
yo oakenfold. what server do u play in so i know what server NOT to go in.
faggots(baserapers)
Krackhouse, no whiners welcome. There's a few places though that are more up your alley, dontcamp.com for instance.
Then, you don't have to play well, work as a team...you can go to your comfy safe zone.
LOL. I guess I am selfish, in that I am more concerned that my squad and I do well, play/practice well, and have a good time than the thousands of random pub noobs who whine until you let them out of their main instead of fight their way out.
Let me know which server you play on, and we'll send more of the whiners your way for the feel good games.
With everything Ive said, I never whine in the server. I agree with you that its the teams fault if they get kicked into their uncappable. BUT, advancing into uncappable with no direct need for it, is unnecessary.
"Random pub n00bs" can fight their way out because they face your highly skilled squad/defense. Dont you see the BS in your own words?
BUT, advancing into uncappable with no direct need for it, is unnecessary.
I think this is where our difference of opinion is Chris. There are DEFINITELY many situations where baserape or advancing on an uncappable is worth nothing but a few points, but there are definitely many other situations where doing just that IS beneficial to your teams chances for the W.
As to feeling bad for noobs that are facing a particularly tough squad...I admit I don't. We've all been there, in this game or another. Its painful, but the pain is often the best teacher. I play this game to do well with a squad and to use teamwork, which gets me giddy and full of warm fuzzies.
If people don't want to put the time or effort into BF2 as much as me and my friends do, that's OK. This isn't little league though, where everyone's feelings count for more than their skills. Its a war game.
1. If you are only looking @ the commander screen when you commmand you are a n00b commander
As a commander, NO ONE is going to protect your assets more zealously than yourself
I don't hide when I command, I am a "Field marshall"
My fav map to command on is Wake, if you can't "multi-task" between fighting, & commanding you will die a thousand deaths (trust me on this 1)
I have become a highly successful commander, who sees MORE than his fair share of action by being the most prolific defender of the main base from "base rapers", & I LOVE it
My clan has no leader, but I am usually the commander by popular demand, just today I entered the TS server, & a clanmate said, "Serial, PLZ be commander"
I have started "shanking" base rapers when I can LOL
btw, I was a squad leader in the U.S. Army IRL
2. I am 41 yrs. old, work 40 hrs. a week or less (@ $33 pr. hr. I can DO THAT General Motors Metal Model Maker), I am married, & have put my only child thru high school
I can do pretty much anything I want
I could be most of you guys daddy LOL
Any questions?
Wow, you are 41 on a video game forum ranting about how much you make an hour, that is simply pathetic.
I was just asking how you manage so many hours in the game, as I am curious. I don't remember asking "hey there guy, how much money do you make?" I am sure you can do anything you want, anyone can, but my question was how do you do 4+ hours a day and still go outside and have a social life with your wife?
I am sure the guys you play with on whatever server offer you a reach-around for your service as commander, good for you.
Once again I never claimed to be a better commander or a better player in general than you. And come on buddy, I cannot believe you pulled out the crap about, I was a squad leader in the military IRL, I respect those that serve and have served but please don't try to use your real life qualifications as a boast for your in game abilities, it just makes you sound crazy, as I am sure many of the top players are simply teens with no military time under their belts...
fact is you are simply full of yourself, I made a tactical statement based on my opinion that you diagreed with and you started throwing ranks and how much money you make and your time in the real military etc. etc. to disprove my "opinion" and that sir is just lame.
I think this is where our difference of opinion is Chris. There are DEFINITELY many situations where baserape or advancing on an uncappable is worth nothing but a few points, but there are definitely many other situations where doing just that IS beneficial to your teams chances for the W.
Taking care of the tank thats en-route to the frontlines. Totally justified.
Intercepting jets and choppers (that are airbourne). Totally justified.
Quick rush to get rid of commanders assets. Check.
Constantly taking down jets and choppers that arent airbourne, from point zero to the end of the round, not cool. Its somewhat easier for the tanks because they are battle-ready from the second they are manned.
Im going to trust everyones personal judgement, whether or not they move in and what they do.
You have to rely on your own personal judgement, whether or not will you act in the moment of enemies weakness. I wont judge you if you do it for your own survival. I wont mind people doing that when theres nothing more for them to do. People do mind when the act is driven by the lust for points.
As to feeling bad for noobs that are facing a particularly tough squad...I admit I don't. We've all been there, in this game or another. Its painful, but the pain is often the best teacher. I play this game to do well with a squad and to use teamwork, which gets me giddy and full of warm fuzzies.
Absolutely, but you have to understand that their frustration comes from the fact that they have no chance, and you shouldnt bash them for that.
If you truly are what youre trying to represent here, you wouldnt mind switching over to the losing team and accept the challege of the situation.
If people don't want to put the time or effort into BF2 as much as me and my friends do, that's OK. This isn't little league though, where everyone's feelings count for more than their skills. Its a war game.
But its just a game. Where people play for fun, not accomplishment. Theres a tactical need to attack the uncappable, and theres a lust for points. I dont think people mind the first, as they do mind the second.
Sniper camping at uncappable is all but a tactical situation, considering that vast majority snipers wont even spot things, which would be their most important role.
Spec Ops running into the base, blowing **** up, which will save his team from commanders eye or arty strike is a welcomed action. Hell, Engineer mining the airfield is something acceptable aswell.
There are tons of examples where ones action is based on needs for a tactical/strategical advantage, and simple point lust. Im simply disagreeing with the camping driven by point lust.
Casual gamers meet here. People who play for the fun of it. Most of them arent uber1337 in their skills and most wont be motivated to push back once they are kicked back into their uncappable. Fair play in pubs, is when you restrict yourself in order to let everyone (else, LOL) have a good game.
The objective of a single player game is to win.
The objective of developers who are creating a single player game is to create an environment based on the player, so that the player can win. The most successful single player games were those that had a strong set of dynamics that allowed a player to customize the game to fit their personal comfort bubble.
The objective of a multiplayer game is to win, collectively.
The objective of developers who are creating a multiplayer where teams are involved (ie: Team A and Team B - or - MEC team and USA team) is to create a game where, upon following his/her individual goals, a player will help the collective (or, the team) attain the objective, which in this case is to win the round.
With that out of the way, I continue the response
Saying that good players should restrain themselves in a public environment so that bad players can enjoy their time is one huge contradiction because it is based on the idea that everyone should have an enjoyable gaming experience. If good players aren't allowed to do what they do best (kick ass), they will not have a good time, thus flipping the script but not solving the problem of everyone having a good time.
The experience of the players is strongly based on two factors:
1. Server rules.
2. Game developers.
If both of the above do things right, everyone will have an enjoyable gaming experience. The good news is, there is always a selection of the above two.
If you don't like how the game is made, get/make a mod (server side or not, doesnt matter).
If you don't like how the admins are acting, go somewhere else.
Either way, telling me that I am personally responsible for the gaming experience of another player is just silly.
I camp uncappable bases like it's my job. Because it is.
I've been doing the "asset denial/sabotage" thing since BF1942 - and those poor guys didn't have the training wheels known as the UAV and Sat Scan to help them find me.
If you aren't willing to defend your uncappable base against attack in the first place, or aren't savvy enough to repel intruders (or spawn elsewhere altogether) once they're inside, then you have no credibility. Spare us.
NAd i have played the provious battlefield games so i know how to play.
and played with some midh-high skilled so listen to me
Man stats are just bunch of crap......
because a tanker can get people out or take a tank out but that is to diffecult and is not so may points.
Oh and lett me tell you.that high ranking players are sometimes the dummest players around. they only played much
most of the best players are not even super high players with 60K points because they are competive and don'play much on rankend server but on infrantry servers like Waib or something (infrantry)
LOL 60K is n00b territory

Is that your "professional opinion"?
Oh I forgot, you don't have a profession
Funny you should say I am ranting, I am the winner, the raper, not the loser, or the raped
I am "tickled pink" @ your frustration, why don't you take up "needle point?"
1. I can play 4+ hrs. day (& still "have a life") because I don't have to work OT to make a living (you asked, your jealousy did not let you digest the answer you asked for), & you still don't get it, showing you have not lived life as an adult yet
2. I work afternoons, & I kill time @ work sometimes (skilled trades ppl don't work that hard) lmao @ the n00bs that I kill before, & after work
Muh hu hahahhah hahah haha haha haha
Matter-of-fact, you could say I am getting paid to rub your nose in it right now LOL
I don't care if I am 41, & your are 14, you challenge a man, take your 4$$ whoopin' like a man
I have some advice for you
1. If you want to be successful, stop blaming others for your failure
2. You have to lift yourself up, trying to bring others down (to your level) is transparent, & makes YOU look pathetic my young friend
I love getting base raped, and I'll tell you why. Because I'm better at it than most people.
When I get killed 15 times in a row on the airstrip, I don't whine about it.... I wait patiently for the base raper to slip up, and he WILL slip up eventually. Then when my chance comes, I get into my jet, and I hunt his ass down, and then I keep him down for the ENTIRE game.
Then at the end of the round, when I've gone from 0/15 to 40/15.... I calmly say, "you shouldn't base rape a base raper :)"
People who whine about base rapers just suck at the game, which is fine.. but it makes me laugh every time they say base rapers have no skill. Such an ironic statement.

Just the other day I was playing on the Hells furry server where it is ok to go into a un-cap-able base. I think I stayed and played and won at least 8 rounds with one of the best teams I have seen to date! In many of the rounds we had them pined to their main base either from the start or by the half way mark.
Why? Good Commanding with great verbal communications with each squad, almost everyone on the team played in squads with good squad leaders and everyone seemed to want to win, not just sit back and let others do the work for them!
So, I say if your too stupid or lazy to get out of your base and cap flags, don't bitch about getting "Camped or Raped"! If there were no one there to be camped, the campers would go away! If your team had tried harder to keep the flag in their possession, you wouldn't be getting rapped!
Over and out!

I say this thread should be topped!
Most of the times when a team gets raped like what you are talking about phoenix, its because a few of your team members have 3k computers and spawn a full 30 seconds before the opposing team. I've had my first spawn at the start of the round, only to see the enemies bomber comming in, and taking out all air. And what helo made it up, got pummeled by the fighter. Its not always because as you say, people are stupid or lazy. I bust my a$$ off to get and keep flags. If my team is full of lames, i understand. But damn why do i gotta suffer as well?
And to be honest, if a team is owning like you said your team was......its because the teams were stacked. Your team probally was full of good shots and pilots. Thats ok.....but the other team probally sucked on all accounts.
If you can seriously at the end of the round proclaim how great you are.......wonderful. I just dont suspect thats the case.
No, it was not stacked in any real numbers by any one clan. We just had a great group of TEAM PLAYERS!
If you have a slow loading computer, you may want to look for servers that have a higher start delay (greater than 15 sec.)! The Wolf server is a great one to give a try (I think they are set for something like 30-40 sec.). I play there as well and have been able to team up with a great group of players and win many consecutive rounds.
At the end of the day I think how nice it has been to play with such a great group of TEAM PLAYERS!
P.S. Not glotting or bragging! But, yes I have an old custom built game box and yes I can spawn in lighting fast!
