i find it really depends on the gun and sight.

i never zoom in on support weapons, but almost always on SCARs and M4s, because of their superior sight and accuracy.

also, i play anti tank these days and almost never zoom with the sraw, even when picking off bunny hoppers at long range with it (yes, it can be done. mostly luck though).

dao 12 doesnt require much zooming, but its all the bunny hoppers around the corner deserve.

Zoom in at long range. I don't think I've ever tried aiming down the sites in CQC. I would think you'd lose sight of the person if he starts moving around too much.

that makes guiding it a bit hard doesn't it? You realize that the best way to guide an AT rocket is to hold the trigger when firing so that you can guide the rocket.

yeah troybob, i thought initially too, but ive had some crazy lucky hits with sraws....

in mashtuur mainly, there was a sniper bunny hopping about 300 feet up a hill that i was standing at the base of, i randomly shot a sraw in his general direction, swerved it and it owned him mid jump.....

if i saw some of my long range, 90 degree turn sraw kills id assume i was hacking myself!

like im sure you know the wall on sharqi peninsula near the untakeable MEC base, i shoot sraws from there, unzoomed, and nail snipers trying to sprint/ hop away from them.

iron gators good for that. i like to think its because of my super experience with trajectory weapons, but some of em just defy logic...

you can guide it unzoomed it's a good trick and takes practice.

I've pulled off many tricks unzoomed, my favorite is launching a rocket at a tank, and diving behind a wall. If you don't keep the center on the tank it'll miss, but, it can't be avoided.

              1. i know you can guide while unzoomed...but why would you want to?

              2. actually i tested this. if your crosshairs go behind a wall - your rocket flies straight.
