New puter, still have to play on low

Still get choppy maps and forever map load times when I run on high and even medium.

Dual core 2.8 Pentuim
1 gig DDR2 533Mhz
7800 GTX 256 PCI express
7200rpm 160gig SATA

Any ideas on why I am still having to run on low???

Well...you shouldnt be running on low but your G card could be better...

You could get a little more RAM and if you have the money you could upgrade your vid. card....

is this a brand new computer?

is there even such thing as a 9800 GTX PCI-E. even if there is a 9800 GTX i dought its PCI-E since the pci-e started at the X--- series

o that changes everything. the 7800 GTX is the top of the line. with that card and 2 gigs of RAM it can play BF2 maxed out. with 1 gig of RAM it should be able to play on mostly high some medium. also your procesor is probly bottlenecking ur 7800 GTX

pretty much, but you may not be able to play BF2 maxed out even with 2 gigs because ur CPU might bottleneck ur GTX. also u should be able to play medium setting with 1 gig
