Just got to www.ncix.com . You can build your own computer with dowens of parts for each category, and its also in CDN dollars, so you'll be saving a bunch as well. I made this computer http://secure.ncix.com/ncixpc/index....4&subid=2#j109
for only a bit over 1100$ and it'll run BF2 at medium/high settings. Just fool around with the options till you find something you like.

okay I see your problem.
You can go with a Dell XPS.. highly upgradable and good from the start but a little pricey depending on what you get.
Stay away from HP and gateway they arent THAT great for upgrading either.
WHoever said Alienware = LOL @ you! He has 1500$ and you said go with alienware, you would get the crappiest pc for 1500$ from alienware and be dissapointed that you dropped 1.5k on nothing but a massive case. for alienware you have to go over 2.5k to get anything good.

as for Emachines, I heard they suck big time. horrible parts, service, everything. But that was a while ago I dont know if they cleaned up their act.
And as for Monarch Computer, they rock. Yes, they are sort of like Cyber power do I dont know if youll be able to but the Monarch Hornet is a great small computer with huge performance around 1k.
try to get something that doesnt have crappy mobo's so you can tweak or even not tweak but just not have issues.

You can get a kick ass dual core amd with the newest ati cards at cyberpowerinc for just over 1k.

Well they might get that anyway with a name brand pc that can't game to save itself.....

Building your won machines is the best choice if you know how to choose the parts and put them together.

I personally built every single machine I had in my life. I rebuild my computer almost every year.

ive been building my own rig the past couple of years , But dont do it unless you know what your doing or have read up on . And read up as much as you can on the parts your buying . Just so you dont come across any problems .

i got an emachines and its got a $100 sound card and a radeon x700 pro, works just fine in high level in bf2

As many have mentioned, I would avoid store computers. Either find a reliable online place that you can configure to order like Monarchcomputer or Meshcomputers. Or find a local place that will do it for you.
