Best Computer Brands

Im looking for a computer that is cheap but highly upgradeable so i can put in a good gfx card
what brands should i look at.......my parents wont let me get a cyberpower, they want to buy something they have heard of before? so what are the cheapest comps that i would be able to upgrade the most

any help appericated!

my parents wont let me build it myself........i can spend up to 1500 but i wnat a cheap one that i can upgrade the **** out of!

1500? ya, you can definitly get a good system with that that you can upgrade.

i got an ABS computer for a little over 1000 a while back, and i have upgraded most of it since.

im lookin to get like a 600 dollars or less and then spend liek 500-900 to upgrade it....cause i knwo if i buy like a dell xps desktop i would get a good machine but if i got a cheap one i could deifnatley get alot better machine for cheaper

This is what is says for the emachines.......its intigrated so i wouldnt be able to upgrade

You should just buy all the parts and then tell them that the case is the computer... lol. Say the parts are for upgrades and make them think there's really a computer inside that empty case. You'll get the bang for your buck.

u prob shouldnt build ur own comp unless u really kno how...but if u do decide to build..start with bare bones..(motherboard + cpu + integraded stuff + case) but if not..i likedel lbest

Dell is suckage, they use exclusively Intel CPUs (at the moment).

The latest intel is awesome (Conroe, it blows AMD out of the water), but you aren't gonna get it for anywhere near 1500. And other than the Conroe, AMD > Intel in all gaming aspects, so Dell = bad for gaming as far as bang for buck goes.

Just get a good dual core AMD from a manufacturer like ABS.

The best deal is ALWAYS to build one yourself if u can tho.

Building your own's great as long as you don't wind up with a flaky part. I built a new system a garbage MSI mobo (not to say MSI mobos are garbage, the K8T Neo-FSR sure was though) and it took forever to narrow it down to replace. System's acting screwy, what could it be? Memory, power supply, processor, mobo, ANYTHING, and I sure as hell don't have the diagnostics tools for that, except maybe memtest.

If you put it together and it's DOA, you also get to play the fun guessing game.

Pre-made computers are cheap now, especially since retailers sell them almost at cost and try to make money on extended warranties and high-margin accessories instead. You'll wind up only paying like $100 more than parts would cost, except you get a manufacturer warranty and you know it works. Just buy a full-size case and re-assemble it and replace the guaranteed-to-barely-cut-it power supply and you're done. Then just keep upgrading parts one at a time.

Avoid ALL brands. There really ain't good brands which would try to build fast, cheap and no compromise computers. All brand computers are COMPROMISES between availability, price and speed. And most important: most brands mod their mobos so you can't tweak/oc them. Build your own and you know what you get.
