Assault class needs the regular noob tube back, this delay crap is plain stupid . And 3 smoke nades per kit wouldn't be bad at all.

I wouldn't want the old GL back, but that fact is that it got nerfed 3 ways.

The delay, smaller blast radious, AND you can't fire it while jumping (which was a major advantage).

I'd like to see it get a bigger blast radious with the delay intact (to make it better against infantry) OR leave the tight radius and lose the delay (to make it effective vs light armour). As it is now, it's been rendered kinda useless in all cases.

when you need a quick firing, powerful weapon for close quarter encounters and rushing, assault works wonders.

Right now the assault class is pretty underpowered in my opinion.
Basically it should be the class you first choose if you want to "run and gun" and do nothing else.

But as it stands, if you want to spend the entire duration of the map running around on foot shooting people... medic is the best choice.

The guns, while not very high in damage, are extremely accurate and the ability to self heal is just a bonus.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not in favor of the "spray and pray" pre 1.2 noob tube, I think it's perfect as it is now.

But the shot accuracy of the assault unlocks really needs to be tightened up.

Some will say "then there will be tons of people running around with the g3"...

Good, that is purpose of the assault class, to go around on foot shooting people.

I also think (for primary machine gun kills only, not knife/armor/pistol and so on) the assault class should get a "team" point for doing their job.

Again, will this result in a lot of people running around engaging in machine gun combat?

Of course, but again, that is the purpose of the class.

I'm not saying nerf medic or any other class, right now everything (as far as ground combat goes) is pretty damn balanced.

Just tighted up the shot accuracy of assult kit unlocks and give them a team point for smg kills.
It just gives people a reason to play the class, and right now there is no real one.

I think assault is useless too. Most every class has a bad ass gun and then something extra to get points with. Medics get heal, support gets ammo, spec ops gets asset destruction, sniper gets claymores, etc.

What does assault have? A nerfed noob tube and smoke grenades. Big whoop.

well u could easily run into a room, noob tube one person, run out and chuck a flashbang in, noob tube another, then pull out ur assault gun and mow down 2 more

assault basically just gets a lot of kills, u get body armor and a great gun. Make sure u keep a medic and support guy nearby, the G3 runs out of ammo so damn fast

although I would like the noob tube a bit better, perhaps a higher velocity and more splash damage? the delay isn't too bad I find it very possible to still kill someone at close quarters with it, also u can bounce it around fences with teh delay

The problem is, if you choose support you get everything assault gets plus better guns (even post 1.22 it's hard to argue the 2000/g3 can be as effective as the pkm/mg36) and unlimited ammo/nades and team points for ammo drops.

The noob tube is prefect the way it is, you can't throw a nade far enough?
"Ploop" launch it over there.
That is how it is now and should remain, a means to deliver nades long range.

NOT an up close spray and pray weapon.

-tighten up the accuracy on the g3/2000

-give the 2000 a slight damage bump (37?) so it is at least on par with the default guns.

-give the g3 a bigger clip.

-the armor+sprint idea is not a bad one at all, I’m all for it.

-team points for smg kills (does not have to be 1 point for 1 kill, maybe 1 point for 2 kills)

Then people would really have a reason to play the kit if they wanted to "rambo" on foot all day long.

Hehe, the thing is a monster when you learn the art of it. Upping the clip size would make it a canidate for nerfage. Even with just 20 rounds, I've dropped 5 people without changing the clip (yeah, I was shocked too... last clip, pure desperation).

I wouldn't be opposed to an extra clip or two, tho.

Plus Medics unlock the better Assault rifles.

Rifles? You mean rifle, the G36E rocks but the L85 has the worst damage and second-worst recoil of any of the ARs. Its full-auto performance is terrible. The only thing it's good for is mid-range sniping because of the scope.

The G3 is probably the best close-range gun next to the shotguns, and flashbangs are also incredibly useful (disregarding the F2000's mediocrity).

The G3 does damage faster than any other automatic, including the SAW/Type 95. It's a murder machine. Please, figure out how to use it. And the MG36 sucks.

No. Just.... no. You trade in a small efficiency drop for FLASHBANGS, which are the most tactically-useful things next to the defibrilators. The purpose of unlocking the F2000 is not for the F2000, it's for the flashbangs. Please, figure out how to use them.

Tweak the unlock assault weapons all you want but I dont use unlocks....

So what I really want to see is something done to improve the standard assualt weapons...

Plus when balancing weapons etc you also have to take into account that leagues dont allow unlocks so you cant balance it out overall by tweaking unlocks

I still like the assault class i think its fine as it is really. The noob tube still works, the smoke actually is handy despite what people think. The armour is nice. Then the grappling hook in SF. Besides not everyone wants the responsibility of healing and reviving.

I think the adjustments made to the flashbang were bad though, what they should have done is left the range of effect (radius) as is but reduced the blind effect. When the flash goes off next to you your blind for about 2 or 3 minutes its ridiculous. It would be far better to blind a large area for a shorter time, more useful and less infuriating.
While theyre at it they should increase the density of the smoke and the area of effect as well. 2 smoke grenades per kit as well like the flash, its retarded that you only get one.

Also why does usmc assualt get 6 ammo clips and mec / pla only get 4 ? both have the same ammount of rounds per clip I always found this strange

Smaller rounds?

AKs use a perty fat bullet for a rifle. They also do more damage without a major hit to accuracy.

Not saying it's a "right" bit of mechanics, but it makes sence within the system.
