Probably.

But the continuing discussion might inspire those that do team play to continue. ( I am still hopeful that my obsessive mine laying in Karkand will rub off.)

As for using Claymores like hand grenades . . .go for it.

yeah.... I will sometimes start off as Engineer +
drop 1 or 2 mines on all 3 roads.

Have to move fast before tank + apc race in.
Notice more + more the convenient shadows in certain parts of the road.
Works well.
Also - right past over or under hills.

Tempted to try Spec-Ops more often since more C4 explosives.

on command side :
if you spot anyone getting past initial blockade + your team wipes them out quick you can keep em pinned down near hotel.
As has been posted millions of times - rare to see teamwork over individual 'glory.'

Yeah, but unfortunately- A LOT of people play Karkand, I've seen some people who've only ever played any other map about 10 or 20 times, where they've played Karkand over 1000 times...

I like Sharqi, another popular map. But then, it's kinda true that other maps don't seem to offer the same 'balance' and fun as Karkand does. I actually avoid Karkand nowadays because a lot of BF2 veterans and experts seem to play on Karkand only- usually in hordes or their own clans- and often siding up with other veterans and experts so that they siphon out the noobs and anything below Master-Sargeant to the other team. It gets tedious witnessing one 'noob harvest' after another.
