I've had enough of being a Stats Whore

As the title says, I've had enough of stats whoring. I've decided to just play for fun and do stupid things to annoy people. For example last night I bailed out of a helicopter over the enemy base, managed to land on one of the aircraft hangers, I waited there patiently until I heard a plane engine start the dropped a mine off the edge of the hanger.......BOOM, this guy didn't realize what I was up to, I even ended up with the commander dropping me some supplies as I run out of mines. I've really started to love this game now I've given up the stats whoring.

Has anyone else given up stats whoring????

Way way way before you ever even contemplated kicking this despicable habit. Then again, I only ever played for fun anyway. Heh.

As with doing annoying and stupid things to people- you can only guess... what goes around comes around.

Ya I know what you mean. I had lots of fun playing but became obsessed with getting to the next rank, medal, badge lol.

I kinda have, just keeping my K-D ratio up a bit. But that's all the stats I really care about at the moment (well... tryin not to teamkill or things like that). I've been having fun just blasting people with the SVD. They expect something like the L96 or PKM most of the time

Same here. I'm not too interested in Medals, Ribbons and the like. Just feel like keeping that Win/Loss and Kill/Death ratio up. Maybe try to get my accuracy up.
I do have those messabout rounds too, like in Karkand. We captured Gatehouse. So i blew up the commanders stuff. He drops a supply crate to fix something, i use it to get more C4 and blow up other stuff. He continues dropping supply crates without realising i can stock up aswell as just blow up his stuff again. Too bad a real commander would've sent some squad to get me and repair the stuff once and for all....

Was a funny round, especially becuase it really did last the entire round.

I have always played for fun but i only play on ranked servers

I am trying to get 1000 defib kils... i have 700 something. it's not an official stat either.

Yeah, There are lots of things to do. My favorite dumb things are jumping on tanks and watching the tank driver go crazy because he cant shoot me up there. Trying to block the whole map with 5 AT mines (you can almost do it on Karkand). I also like to get in a Humvee and chase enemy armor when they stop Ill jump out and put C-4 on them. Lots of fun things to do, No way you can get bored here. . . . . . .Red

I play strictly for the stats. I don't know what it is about them. It isn't like they mean something in the long run. Everyone has them, and many have better than me. But, I still go after them with a vengeance. I never play for fun, and to be honest, it can get extremely frustrating at times.

I want to reach 20.000 first. That's a mark i should be able to get. I doubt i will ever get to 50.000, so i will probably care less about the points when i make 1st sergeant.

20,000 is quite a task. Especially going from 8,000. It requires enough time so that you almost have to play constantly to reach the next rank within a year. It is ridiculous at times.

I found that just by having some fun in ranked servers my points increase quicker than when im trying to get them

lol Not me menace. If I just screw around, I might get 20 points in a round if I am lucky. However, if I bust my buns, I get 80 - 120 points in a round everytime. Though, it is good to relax once in awhile and just screw around and not give a damn about flags.
