I killed someone way further than all of your suggestions as a sniper. I left a claymore near the artillery on Operation Clean Sweep whilst on the MEC team. I ended up near the base closest to the American Uncapable base, when I killed someone. That has got to be like 3000m or something. That was my farthest sniper kill.:laugh:

Was on Mashtuur and was kinda close to that Water Tower near the USMC spawn. I was MEC and had my L96, i saw a medic, support and spec ops taking out the commanders assets (this is really far away btw and i'm using high geomitry and 100% distance)

Shot one - Spec ops dies (headshot methinks, becuase i don't think he would be running around injured with a medic, but who knows)

Shot two, three - Medic goes down

Shot four, five - Support is no longer resupplying

Reload (sigh)

Spec ops makes a bee-line to the UAV miles off, at this time i'm thinking damn he's going to make it, all i can see is the red name tag. I just fire off a random shot in the general area and get a kill notification. Crazy stuff..was really so far.

Also i was ontop of the TV station and i think i shot someone near the base of the crane or somewhere near it, also killed someone sprinting across that massive iron beam did that with the PKM and the SVD.

I think this highlights my main dislike in BF2, the range of the weapons. I've never shot any of the BF2 weapons IRL, but I've always thought their range has been nerfed. For example, just this morning I was on a range quite easily hitting a "headshot" sized grouping at 600M, and I'm not a great shot. But in BF2, 400M is considered good ?? I just think its because the maps are smaller, so they limit the weapon range. Am I totally off the mark or what ?

I have never understood how anyone can confuse BF2 with real life. Anyway, I have shot several people on top of the TV station from the alley flag, on Sharqi. Yes that is beyound visual range except that I could see thier muzzle flashes and thats how I was able to target them. I was on top of the building by the flag trying to clear enemy snipers blocking my squads progress.
I have also shot people from the crane on gulf of Oman at the beach flags and at the air field. I can make kills on the whole map, not on the carrier of course, that I can see, from up there.
Basicly if I can see you I can kill you, its not skill just patience. An example is killing people on Wake Island, the main Island, from the USMC atry. I have also been AT and killed tanks from there. Great way to send the spawn campers packin. LOL. . . . . . . . .Red

Playing on the Oilfields map on SP, I'm the US and have my 96 out scanning the Chinese base. I see a guy jump into the gunner turret on one of the trucks. One shot, one kill...just how I like it.:p

I was on the deck of the command bunker and killed enemies with one shot with a G3 at the following locations...

Not confused, just disappointed. BF42 maps were way bigger. I would not have thought after several years of development, and computers getting better that Dice would not be nerfing their game to accomodate their deficiencies.

Iv got a favourite camping spot:p on Dragon Valley When im PLA, which is so far from the US carrier that you can only just see the area where the cobra spawns, I get plenty of kills there

I wan on the beach at gulf lyed on and i i got 2 headshoots one on the career
the pilot in the F35 and 2nd a rapid strike one shoot one kill and i kill one boat driver,and a pilot at blackhawk were comming...all that with barret offcource

My bad, roughly 150 yards...not anything too spectacular, I play Spec. Ops and Engineer more.

I use in relation to a flag. Say you look at a flag and you see the tag underneath says "140 meters". Then you can just judge from their. I don't use sniper that much, except on that sweet Hamburger Hill map that somebody made. (Kudos on that by the way.)
