I'd have to say call of duty 2, very fun.

Ooh I forgot about CoD2. Single player was good but never bothered with the multiplayer. It was a little shooting-gallery-ish and the sequences where it counts down the number of waves that are attacking you really took me out of the moment but it was good overall.

Hmmmm....This is kinda tough for me really. I can't think of any games i play near as much as BF2. IDK, my next favorite would probably be Battlefield 1942.

My all-time favourite is Scorched Earth... Its as old as the Stonehenge but I'm still amazed at how fun and lasting a game it is..


Also, I loved DID's F22 ADF, but now it won't run on my pc for some reason Another favourite is Baldur's Gate, it is nearly perfect...

(And in approximately half a year, when I'll get the proper pc to run it on max video settings, I'll surely love Oblivion)

God it's been forever since I've played that game. I use to play it every day. It's still an awsome game.

If I'm not playing BF2 then I'm playing Day Of Defeat: Source or any of the Command & Conquer series.

Swat4 - you get points for not sooting people, but when you do have to shoot you better be fast.

Half-Life2 - really good story and fun weapons, cool design, fun and challenging (put it on hard)

Rainbow Six 3 Ravenshield - it's a little old by todays standards, but it still my favorite. Fun to to play online.

Day of defeat Source, I like it anyway

Oh and the best game of all time, The IL2 series with all its updates and addons. A whole war to fight from the air. Fabulous

Another opinion question! Buy PC mags and play the demos mate, you'll get a better picture.

Being an old fart, I'm partial to Civ4, but as Duck said, it is time consuming.

LOL nice on troy....anyways check these games out for some good fun

- SWAT 4 and the Expansion pack (this is deffinelty a good game)
- BF1942 - Plus mods, like DCX :)
- CoD, CoD, CoD Expansion (Forgot name) and mods
- FEAR (Its all about the Single Player, Multiplayer gets boring after awhile)
- Get Steam and get the Half-life Source package that has all the DOD, CS, and other games included, and deffinelty check out some mods for this game like "Hidden" and "Empires" and "Dodgeball" just to name a few.
- And if you get Steam you might as well get Red Orcastra (its like CoD but much more realistic and really cool)

And if all else fails there are going to be some really AWSOME mods coming out for BF2 like FH2, PoE2, BG42, Shattered Faith, Rising Conflicts, and a bunch of other really good looking mods.

Pretty much all the games everyone has listed so far are good EXCEPT:

- WoW
- GUILD WARS!! :laugh:
- And any other nerdy magic spells and swords game (except some certain titles) :p

FPS fan eh? hm... come to think of it... F.E.A.R unfortunately gets mighty repetitive, even with the slow-mo gimmick. I just start killing soldiers with the butt of my weapon for fun, but the novelty of that wears out real quick too.

I liked playing HL2 at the net cafe I go to... very very addictive.
Too bad, everytime I come back another day to load my saved game, EVERY object in the game no longer moves... it's like- you shoot them, they'll splatter and make whiney noises - but still doesn't move, and then finally make dying noises... but yeah... still doesn't move. Anyone have any idea what's happened?

That screenie has made my day- I had not seen scorched earth in so long. I loved that game. Too bad I don't have DOS no more... no more scorched earth.
