The Reason it is NOT fun to fly the F35

I've tried and tried to find the fun in flying the F35 against the J10. I've logged over 45 hrs as an aviator so I'm not a nub when it comes to flying and using evasive maneuvers. However, when BOTH the missiles AND the flares don't work on the F35, it kinda makes it difficult to make it a competition. I've tailored my offense in the F35 to just machine gun and bombs. It takes out helos fairly well and the occasional J10 if they're not paying attention.

I was hoping and praying this patch would fix this inbalance, but apparently EA thinks otherwise. Anyone else getting frustrated losing air superiority game after game?

The missiles and flares work fine for me in the F35. They're just no silver bullet, and that's the way they should be.

A good pilot can get through your flares, or he just waits for you to deploy them, and then fires.

Thats why you are forced to capture the middle flag in Wake Island. So you can have a F18 hornet.

I've had numerous times where I fire ALL 6 missiles and if they're not flying perfectly straight, they go flyin by the wing EVERY time.
I can understand a few missiles missing here and there, but the J10 is 2 missiles and your done. I OWN in the J10, its not even a challenge. I lock, fire the 2 missiles and peal off. Simple as that.

Thats why you are forced to capture the middle flag in Wake Island. So you can have a F18 hornet.

But when you get the F-18's there are no J-10's to shoot down, so you're basically stuck with the F-35 against the J-10's.

if its no fun anymore, then why do u continue to play? its a game, its not real...its a simulation.

It feels like the j-10s missles work better too. Because I will fire them right away and he will make the hardest turn or an impossible turn because of my angle on him. The missles will still follow him and do like a 90 degree turn. It dosent do it in the f-35b though.

i don't see a real big issue. i never use missiles - only the bomb view. the j-10's usually think they are receiving ground fire - if you can fool the jet to think no one is behind him, he may go into a holding pattern and be ripe for the machine guns.

the trick is to not fire the guns until you know you can get more than a few rounds in him before he realizes he's in trouble. They have no lock indicator if your not trying to lock them (and only the best pilots use f12)

missiles are last resort when i fly, i shoot folks down DC-mirage style.

Because the GAME is still fun. Notice I only mention the F35 in my post. I don't need smarta** remarks like these. You're not helping at all.

I guess I can modify my thread to be of some constructive help. What CAN I do to even the playing field w/ the F35 v J10s? I already said I only use the machine guns against them now because from my experience, the missiles are worthless. If they take any turn at all, the missiles fly right by.
