The only time I encountered an issue was when first downloading the 1.22 patch. For some reason, EA downloader told me I had downloaded it yet I really didn't I had to go back a few hours later and download it again. Ironically, when I clicked to install it, it gave me a completely different window than when I originally installed it.

um...never had a problem that I couldn't deal with or work around. Average computer users aren't patient and think the worst when they see a problem. Computers don't ALWAYS act logically/consistently, and sometimes you just have to try something again...aka reinstall, try clicking the icon a second time...go through VOIP setup again, recheck your xfire connection credentials, repatch...

define problems
i would say that reading the huge amounts of complaints in these forums and elsewhere that I have been very lucky
i have had CTD a handful of times and they were more than likely my fault for leaving MSN messenger on
I have seen the red tag bug a handful of times
I have never failed to patch
I have never seen a bug that ruined my game
I have never not been able to instantly find a server and play

So if the question is 'who has had next to no problems with bf2', the answer would be me - i've never owned a more stable, bug free game ever and i own alot of games

The only problem I've ever had is the crashing to desktop problem. A lot of the guys I game with have had this problem. It's annoying. Other than that, I haven't had any.

I haven't had a problem with (well coded, HL2, DoD:S,CS:S) source engine based games. If we are talking major bugs like crashing and messed up interface. Besides it's very hard to know if the bugs are in the game itsel or if it's hardware or unrelated software/firmware.

i never really had a problem with BF2....
the only thing i did was tweek the graphics settings...eg: lower texture and shadow to medium

cus i only have 1 gig ram and everything runs great!

like others ive never had a problem i couldnt deal with or work around
ive had a few crashes to desktop, most likely to do with some ecc. completely random, and doesnt happen often
ive seen the nametag bug a few times, again completely random and doesnt happen often
other than that, cant really think of anything else

Not too many problems here. The only problem I ever encountered was getting EF to dowload right, but I just had to try a couple of times.

I've had trouble-free gaming with lots of different games

But I haven't been able to play bf2 since 1.13 patch came out despite my best efforts.
