Not in a horrible way or anything, but most of these posts have been sometihng along the lines of "i got the white screen thing, i left it and it worked"...to be quite honest, i dont really care. I made this thread to try and get some help. Mine went white for 30 minutes. I had time to watch an entire episode or the simpsons. Thats why i stopped it. Ive downaloaded the full 1.22 but whilst installing it says patching failed. All i wanna do is get BF2 vanilla with 1.22 working, which it does apart from the unmodified content error and not being able to patch it to 1.22. please help lads
I had the unmodified content message. Could hardly play any servers. This is what I did.....
Un-installed SF and BF2.....But keep the config, saves, screenshot files when asked.
Install BF2 > SF > Patch 1.22 FULL (if you want EF, then install that before the patch).
IF your still not having any luck with that, then try re-downloading the patch, maybe you got a corrupt copy
ive alwways got patching falied. If you do an advanced search for threads started by me, i think there is at least 4 lol. I will try re-downloading the patch. I got it from EA. Where did you get it from? i presume yours worked
I ended up -reinstalling Windows XP last time due to a re-installation of Windows XP, got that? Okay, I re-installed Windows XP, and BF2, SF and EF. I was irreversably screwed because if the patch. At the end of the day, I re-installed Windows XP again, and reinstalled BF2, 1.03, SF, 1.12, 1.12-1.2, 1.2-1.21 and then EF. I can play now. But then when I was installing 1.22 same error you have got!
I guess had I not installed EF, it would have saved all of the trouble. Guess EF should be installed after all the patches have been applied! Just a guess.
Now, can anyone tell me what should I do, I just dont want to reinstall everything. Just reinstall the game and do the defragment procedures are so time-consuming!
