Please quit making claims that are not true, the L96 is not the same as the M24.
EA already said that the unlocks are not suppose to be better, just different.

So they UNLOCKS are not suppose to be better, just DIFFERENT.

Not talking about weapons, model numbers...etc. I was just promoted to Sergeant. And I chose the unlock for Medic and Support coz those are the 2 unit types I recently playing mostly.

We could end up in a debate for pages and pages. I do understand what you mean, basically you are saying the guy is now strong enough and should not be made stronger by granting him a powerful weapons than the stock ones. Now you have to take into consideration how the ranking and promotion operates.

According to my experience and my own statistic, I am not a good shooter, far from being accurate than many average players round the globe. But I have already got 2 rounds of unlocks. With the PKM, I am very happy as a support now because I die less often. As I said before, I am not a good shooter, but then becoz of harding working, I got enough points for promotion resulting in getting the more powerful weapons like the PKM. Now the PKM is protecting me from better shooters than myself because I can kill with a higher probability given a powerful weapon like the PKM than the stock one I used before, and believe me, my aiming still have a long way to go.

What thrills me is that I can use this powerful unlocked weapon to kill other better shooters I lost so many times to them before. In this case, the game is more balanced now.

By the way, Spec Ops is an awesome unit type in some maps like the Warlord. You can even replace the role of a sniper with the unlocked weapons. I regret very much that I didn't choose the SCARL series. My global point is 2500+. I have a long way to go for my next promotion thus unlock dude!

Same accuracy, same bolt time, same damage, same armor penetration. The ONLY thing the L96 has better are the thinner crosshairs and faster reload.

Step up to the plate, please: If there is a real difference, what is it?

For the last time, none of the unlocks are meant to replace the previous weapons with new 'uber' weapons. They are only to give you a choice and each unlock is not necessarily more powerful than the previous. It's just not how it was ever meant to be.

The G36C has the lowest recoil of any automatic weapon in the game; it makes a huge difference.

I have been put off from the spec ops unlocks laely too, I find the stock weapons much more to my liking, especially the AKS.

I love the G36C because of the "feel". I can put 3 bullets on someones head in an instant and I find I cant do it with any other spec ops unlock for some reason or another.

only reason I unlocked the G36 is so I could use the G36E in the medic class which is a 3 round burst that kills with two clicks of the mouse. It is by far the best weapon in the game. (Aside from arty, tanks, etc.) I LOVE IT IT IS THE ONLY REASON I PLAY AS MEDIC!

Re: What is the point of the Spec-Ops unlocks?

I love the unlocks I've gotten:

                    G36c
                    G3
                    MP7
                    DAO
                    PKM
                    G36e

In my opinion, each has helped me improve my game, if only for allowing me to choose a variety. On paper/chart they may not be better, but psychologically they are to me! Don't ask me why, I only point out what I've noticed.

The G36c, in regards to your post, is an awesome gun. I only use this when playing Spec-Op. Personally I enjoy playing medic or engineer, so both the unlocks and 2nd tier unlocks are a better option for me.

                    PEACE

You don't need the G36C to get the G36E, you need the L85A1 SA-80
