I suppose as a close range weapon it would be pretty awesome though, if your DAO has rusted over.

Actually, even with 900RPM and a 50 round clip, the P90 is horrible at close combat. It simply sprays everywhere and now it does so even faster. Some of the stock SMG's I do actually find better than or at least on par with the DAO in close combat, but they have the same problem of ammo running out quick. They have the advantage of quicker reloads and better medium range. The single shot mode on the MP5 is actually quite effective out to medium range. The P90's massive clip would really make it usefull if it were capable of landing hits on a third of the bullets it spits out. Even on its single shot mode, it is terribly inaccurate.

Did they nerf the P90 mid range accuracy in 1.22?
I used to like this gun for medium range combat, but I wasn't able to hit the broad side of a barn with it last night.
I'm also a bit confused about it's rate of fire not in sync with the sound...

Hmmm... This conversation is very interesting since im thinking about unlocking the p90 next. All this negative criticism about it but still someone told me that you ca<n get used to it if you just give it a chance. I just cant stop thinking about getting aranged weapon for anti-tank again.

The P90 is a waste of an unlock, i would rather have the EU support weapon as the unlock instead!

P90's a better unlock than the support. PKM is great as is and the p90 does allow you to fire over a longer range than the shotgun.

It fires faster but it seems like EA reduced the damage... It still takes a whole clip to kill anyone.

Before 1.22 I could kill someone with 15 rounds from a P90. If you really use a whole clip on one person, you really need to aim a bit better :p

well guys ive manged to get more kills with it after the patch than before.
i think its a lot better the range from what my kills were,i was like cool.
nice new long range an fairly accurate if you just double tap instead of holding the fire down

i think the p9 looks good im going for it for next unlock definatley becuase i often play as anti tank and the dao it basically useless at anything more than very close range.

looking at .tweak files, yes, rate of fire is now 900. They probably forgot to up the sound playback rate.

Apart from mag size, reload time and some stance modifiers, it's now carbon copy of mp5. It has 0.1 less on all stance modifiers, standing, crouching and proning, so it IS a bit more accurate (mp5 1.4,1.3,1.2 , p90 1.3,1.2,1.1)

With 20 extra bullets and slightly better accuracy and 0.5-1 secs more reload time it's better than stock smgs now, even if just a tiny bit, though it's completely another thing if it's better than DAO (imo not even close)

I use the P90 all the time now that I've unlocked it. It's very weak, but I can offer more long range support now without being left like an idiot running around with his pistol.

I have however gotten alot better with 3shot kills with the pistol, most never heard it coming!

I feel that, P90 is better now. More damage, than 1.21.
