Here's another hacker and his self ownage.

He posted over there at BF2RS complaining about admin abuse and posts a screenie which has no fog in it on Karkand. For those who aren't signed up and can't be bothered, I'll post his screen shot here. He said his vid card was an FX5900. I'll also post a screenshot from my FX5900.

Here's his feeble excuse when questioned why there isn't any fog:

I ve got an older video card FX 5900 and got fluctuations, all graphics settings set to minimal. Also a lot of bugs everywhere programmers from Dice didn t fix it.

He has been reported to EA and PB for his trouble and dare I say he has a PB hardware ban on the way. However here is proof that hacks do exist, yes it was a ranked server.

his name was circled, because 'ma$$acker' was reporting the guy to BF2RS for telling him to get out of the vehicle, and kicking him because he didnt....

nice....jus prooves how much stupid these cheaters are.....

if only all the cheats could incriminate themselves while reporting cheats....think about how effective this whole reporting bisniss would be....two for one every time....boo-yeah

I may be the devils advocate but dosent it look like the ****tyest gfx's you have ever seen. I mean he could be telling the truth. I do belive you should ban his hardware just because it does give the unfair advantage though.

um some nvidia cards, i dont know about this game. but like in call of duty. in your graphics card options u can turn off fog. but i know it works in COD ive never tried in bf2.

They are terrible all right, but with low graphics settings wouldnt there be more fog? So it doesnt have to render things in the distance or something :p.
I just thought of old playstation games there that used fog so they didnt have render something in the distance.

Yeah both screenies are taken with the same vid card, all low details settings, with dynamic lighting and shadows turned off and no AA. The 2nd one was shot like this to replicate his settings that he claimed to be using.

There have been no fog hacks in this series since shortly after teh release of BF 1942.

I think he was being sarcastic. We know fog hacks aren't new. I thought though they had all been detected by PB.
