there is something actually WRONG with his card. Look at the tank barrel and detail levels compared to the comparative screenshots...

And what do you want to be he was running a full cheat package, but simply forgot to turn off the no-fog before he took the screenie?

Just for amusement's sake, I dropped into the server he was playing on when I first checked his stats. He wasn't there, but I asked about him.
"Yeah, we just kicked him for cheating."

I've known about this hack for a very long time...but everyone always says I'm full of crap and just whine about getting killed. No...I friggin work on an anti-hack team and know how to detect the users. If only admins would actually believe what I have to say.

Not new at all...I've been mentioning this and many other glitches for months.


However, I did send most of the hack files to an EA guy...so hopefully many will be fixed.

This just tells us that those who cheat are usually the losers who got desperate and cannot gain any skill.
Such a story is getting very common. I just read another thread about a stat padder who basically posted a screenshot of himself padding... and reminds me of that loser Nitro who did the same thing.

I think we should have "Jokes" section in this forum for such screenshots.

The site unfortunately closed down before i started playing bf2 regularly, but i got a massive kick out of it. It was hilarious.

Possibly raised some awareness of malicious idiots though?

I find all this interesting.....i have been a die-hard console guy (PS2) BF2 being my first PC game.....all these hacks and expliots are crazy....i'm just used to playing games the way they are given out. Computer gaming is whole new bag for me...wow.

Why can't people just play the game for a game and have FUN! Stats should be used as a guide to see what you need to improve on.

oh, BTW, the PS2 has seen nothing but dust since i got BF2 running

um some nvidia cards, i dont know about this game. but like in call of duty. in your graphics card options u can turn off fog. but i know it works in COD ive never tried in bf2.

That's nVidia fog. It's a light cull fog that doesn't affect sight distance at all. I totally forgot about nVidia fog because I havn't had to explain it in 2 years.

I'ld be surprised to see his stats wiped, much less getting HW banned. 1st, PB does not take screenshots or videos as a proof for any bans. Punksbusted MBL - sure. HW/CDkey ban? No. 2nd, HW ban does not result in stats being wiped - only CD/PC being blacklisted. That is quite easily circumvented. And 3rd, I dont think he will have his stats wiped or be HW banned at all - I've monitored stats of three guys being reported on this very forum as hackers or padders, with 'IndianScout' promissing some action - and surprise surprise, not one of them had his stats wiped or banned.

Its not IndianScouts job to wipe stats even though some seem to think it is. BF2RS simply analyse all reports and if they deem them to be sus they pass them onto EA who do their own checking and then EA decide on any necessary action.

PB screenshots are considered good enough I believe by PB to HW ban someone. Obviously this is not a PB screenie. I'm sure someone will look into it though such as EA or PB where the screenies were sent too.

Newsflash... EA doesn't give two sh!ts about stats or any of this cheating stuff. If they did care, their software would actually be designed to prevent these kinds of antics, all of which have been going on for months, and which are common knowledge among any experienced players.

What EA does care about, is this: getting 50,000 people playing online at once, selling two million copies of the game, and up-selling us on EuroForce and whatever other supplemental content they can push.

What they don't care about, is this: fixing their full-of-holes code. By their lack of action to fix even their own well-known mapping & wall errors, not to mention failing to take any action at all against the more common hack packages like the chameleon-enemy-color deal, and this no fog garbage, EA is telling all legit gamers to "go get stuffed".

Their efforts are focused on creating new games (BF2142 comes to mind), and they couldn't care less about seriously trying to fix what's already in the field, or help ensure that those who cheat actually pay a penalty.
