    Re: boycott planet battlefield

I dont know much about BF2 TV, but a guy I know (The Monarch) had his game streaming from his website one night.

It kicked ass, was really funny as around 20 of us randomly stopped and stared at him playing, posting as we watched "Dude The Monarch just nailed that cobra with AA!" etc.

Sounds like a good Grudge match.
Hehe, I was gonna bounce the idea of using the R2 unranked server as a neutral battle field off ya.

I definally wouldn't be participating... There's enough skilled TBF2ers that aren't saddled with crap comps to fill out the ranks, I'm sure.

But maybe us R2s can kick the crap outta the winners, eh?

        Re: boycott planet battlefield

Its early days right now. We'll see how it goes.
As for servers we have ranked servers for all BF2 games, we could kick to let people in for a bit of a casual stomp around.

If we got a more formal scrim going on we have an unranked server, which is handy because you cant lock the ranked ones.

But its early days, lets see how many ppl have posted an interest in resting thier eBalls on my face over the next day or so.

Yeah I have meant to have a look into how its done. These guys over at http://www.bfgeeks.com/ do it. Might be an idea to find out Wunder how he does it and maybe doing simultaneous stream both here and over at PBF, plus I liked to find out and we would stream our server games on our site as well.

It wouldn't be a problem if you wanted to use our unranked server, which has BR already setup and VOIP at max quality. I could admin and monitor the match as a neutral party. Anything is possible.

IRT Wunder: Roger. We'll discuss it later on if needs be.
Actually, I am an active member a both sites. I posted more at PBF, and only recently stopped lurking and started to post here. It is funny to see your name and a few other show up over here, like, I know those guys. Are you going to bring EyeOfGod with you to the match as a Ringer? Is he still asking for help with the basic knife badge?

I too, post at both sites,as redrider, although just an average player, I do have extensive military experience. At this time Im not throwing my hat into the ring, I really dont believe Im skilled enough.
If nothing else you could make the match into a video file using battlefield recorder or perhaps fraps. That way all of us could watch even though we may be at work (some of us do work you know) when it happens. I believe it would be interesting to watch. Keep us updated. . . . . . . .Red

Maybe a 64 player match, with a time limit, more than one map, highest total points wins?

Got your PM spandex. Sure, we'd be happy to have a scrim with you guys. Sorry I can't write more now, i was in a rush and wanted to reply to the post as soon as I got his PM. I'll get back to you with the details. We might have a 12 v 12 or 16 v 16, or even 32 v 32 (that'd be so funny lol). Anyways, i'll talk to you soon:)

That sounds pretty good actually. Most generous of you! We have various servers at our disposal but they're all ranked.

At least we could lock the server then. And I think everyone would want BR running!

Not sure if we'd use VOIP or TS/Vent but each team could make their own decision on that.

I've started a topic on PBF to see if there's much interest. I'll be back in touch.

Please everyone stop flaming PBF, or I am going to have to lock the thread (which I don't want to). Their admin was nice enough to come here and put up with all your flames and on top of everything, he offered a friendly game.

ok, here is the situation, what if you have some decent players but who is not in TFB2 clan? Can they somehow participate?

well, the PBF server is truthfully extremely easy to rack up points on.... because the PBF clan members have the least skill of ANY players in a large server this far into BF2.....

general_anasthetic is the only remotely decent one, and he is not nearly as good as me, had something like 11 points in a very long 64 player round.

still, thats probably more than the rest of his pathetic PBF claners put together.

ive never played with the totalbf2 clan or saw a totalbf2 server, but i have played with an awful lot of claners, and have yet to find any with anything above average skill (most far below) although PBF is probably the worst i have played with yet.

and no, i havent got banned from either of their servers heh.
