They can stat pad all they want IMO, only thing I use the ranking system to is to show my progress, increase in KDR etc. I don't give a **** about others.

But of course, playing for fun is much more fun (duh).

I've never been on one of these servers, but I wonder how is it possible to get enough kills in one round to get the expert knife and pistol badges without actually playing on a server where that's all anyone is using? 18 kills in a round seems a little unrealistic. BTW, I haven't gotten the basic badges for either of these yet. :laugh:

Hum.. The other day I was looking for a server to play on and a saw you playing in Knives and Pistols 24/7. I suppose you took your trusty APC in that server aswell?

While was searching players with high points on BF2S.com, i cam across a player who BF2S said was playing on a server called KNIFES AND PISTOLS SWEET AND DUDE. I then clicked on it and went to game monitor just to find that the server was packed with padders- 16 people. I couldn't upload the BF2S pictures because the file was too big. If you want to help bust these players, post a comment with your email and I will send you thoses pics. PLEASE BUST THEM!!!!
I dont know where to send pics to EA to bust them, maybe you could do it.

I have mixed feelings on this subject,

1.since EA/Dice neglected to produce an infantry only situation map I feel people who pay the high sum that is involved in a ranked server should have the option to make infantry only rules and I would not consider them stat padders, i feel a stat padder is more like someone who takes advantage like stab heal stab heal shoot supply shoot supply ect ect.
2. knife pistol only in my opinion would be cool if it was honest competition
3. some will say and rightly so that this negates EA/Dice's plan for the mixed environment and i respect this point of view, i think the easy solution is for EA/Dice to push out an building assault type map that is infantry only free to the ranked server community

I wonder. Is it really padding to have to jump and run and dodge and get close enough to another guy to knife him? It seems like a lot more work than wipping out a PKM and slaughtering a guy with 3 bullets in 1.5 seconds. And it sounds a lot more fun and rewarding too.

but hey....I hear a lot of people saying how great the game would be without stats. Well, if stats were rendered pointless because people padded we would sort of get our wish.

And stats, in the grand scheme of things, don't really matter. For instance, I'd rather join a squad and follow orders than lead one but because I'm first sargeant I always manage to end up in charge if the leader leaves.

The only 2 things you can even do with that higher rank is be commander or get unlocks. who cares who has what unlocks? if it's bad to pad for unlocks what's the point to ranking up at all? I mean, we all want to acheive more points because we want a higher rank and unlocks. Or are you guys so full of yourselves that you to display your stats like peacocks and make yourselves look like primary sources on all things BF2?

the only point to be a higher rank is 1: get unlocks and 2: be commander. I, for one, couldn't care less about being commander and now I've got all the unlocks I want. So if they want to pad, let them, it's not like they're really getting anything important, unless you think fake points in a fake world really means anything to anybody. Heck, they might even be great commanders and want to do more for their teams by continuing to be commanders and that means staying at the highest rank possible.

In heres another thought for the mix, our team recently upped our ranked server from 44 to 64 slots. I have noticed something that throws a curve to my thinking, LEGAL STAT PADDING has been going on all along, some of the highest ranked players have attained their stats by legally padding by going to 64 player slot & maps with the bare minimum of players, all those flags all those tickets amd all the time it takes to complete a round, easy to take flags when there isnt enough people to defend them all.

Isn't this just as bad as a knife pistol only server?

ok, i admit last night i played on that server, only to see some of the most riduclues scores that i ahve ever seen! 1. 467 points 100 kills 2. 450 86 kills, everyone, exept me, was in the 200, they capped some flags so it wouldn't ticket bleed then they just fought the whole time with pistols they WHOLE TIME.

But there was this [MS] clan there that had like 9 of there ppl there.

IT should be reported!
