We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
I kind of like the idea of a non-ranked knife round just for shear intense fun. I mean come on.....what feels better than knifing your opponent in the face? the balls? When their too stupid too look at you while you dive at their feet? I 've been on one, but am not sure if it was ranked or unranked. ooops
I like the idea of doing up some mini-mods for specific weapons gameplay.
I recall some rather amusing UT rounds with sniper only mods. Hell, I played quite a bit of Shocklance only T2 simply because I needed practice with that flakey weapon.
Just because I brought it up doesn't mean I think it's a good idea.

BF2RS admins often look at server like this and use 'em like a roach motel. They just compile lists of players on 'em and put each one under the microscope. If you've got anything odd in your stats, you might find yourself getting a smack... even if you didn't pad.
Hell, I got mentioned as a possible padder 'cause may kinfe KDR got as high as 3.0 with very little time actually using it. I had to explain that I only ever draw my blade when I'm ready to use someone's back as a knife holder.
All was cool and I still have my (rotten) stats.
Your best bet is to just stay clear of those servers. If you really want to, take a screenshot from outside it and post it to BF2RS. They'll check it out and you don't have to worry about gettin any poop on ya.
let me talk about my experience visiting a knife and pistol only server.
there was no revives, and everyone had around 10 points. there was this one guy though, he had 100 points and he was in tank.
stop bragging about how you went to a knife and pistol only server and used guns. to me that's the biggest form of stats padding (shotting against knife wielding people? ha!)
as of me, I missed the knife only games of my DF and CS days, and i couldnt find a non-ranked knife/pistol server. I had to risk my stats for fun.
BTW, I have knife and pistol badges that were obtained legitmately.

Yeah, they don't really ruin the game. Thats only if you care about stats.

I know what you mean. okay, think about the point leader Blazin.uk. He or she has probably played over 1,500 hundred hours to get where he or she is at. I mean thats a total waste of time. Playing just for points? i would rather play for fun than waste THAT much time doing nothing but playing bf2 nonstop just to stay ahead in first place. Who would have that much time?

BTW, i checked on game monitor the players on the server had WAY over 10 pointas apiece. 90% of the people were scoring 200+ points. The point leader had over 300 points!!! Ur definetely wrong.
stats rankings badges all those are part of a ranked server i like to see how my play has improved or decreased or how i rank against another player. thats the point of stats if people are cheating to get better than me well it kinda ****es me off i play hard and honestly to get my wins and points

People tried bitching about the same thing in the Nova ranked servers. Nova said it wasnt padding and I believe EA says the same thing. Besides, if their were flag games in BF2, I would be the first to open a razorball server.
I think there is bigger things to worry about.
And the ppl that make the game suck are people like you who feel they have to worry about what everybody else is doing.

I have an idea for you: go away and bother some other person trying to stop stat padding. unlike ME, u are a loser who probably hacks and pads all day. how old are you? You are probably some lonely highschool drop out who has no girlfireind and lives in the basement with his mom. I only play maybe an hour or two a day. U probably pad for a t leaest 5 hours. GET A LIFE AND FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO BOTHER. ......and maybe a girlfriend while ur at it.

While I agree its not a decent way to get badges, I prefer them to cheaters. At least they are all on one server playing by the same rules. I really don`t think they ruin the game near as much as the cheats and exploiters do.
There is still a knife and pistol server out there, and I played a medic and wiped them out with my M16. They tried to kick me, but could not, maybe because I revived some people.
I look at it as if you don't like it. Then don't play in that server. Nobody is holding a gun to your head...yet. I get bored sometimes and go in there and mess around. My rule is i'll play by their rules and mess around but once I see somebody with their rifle out, well, then out comes my rifle :)
