But FF is always off. You don't want this **** to happen? Then make it so FF must be on, all the time.

I am aware of a new area above HOTEL in Karkand.

I cleared the Hotel area and still got naded to death trying to find the enemies.

On my second trip down with a fresh tank I caught 4 individuals on a roof that has a stairwell access door blasting HOTEL from above. I machine gunned one and took out the last three with a main gun round.

If you look closely you can just make out several medic packs at the stairwell door on the roof.

My question is simple: HOW DO YOU GET UP THERE?!

The key is looking down as you jump. I did it on an empty server, but not during battle.

I don't see why anyone is saying that it is a "glitch" it's like getting on the roof when you go further south of the hotel. You need a vehicle to climb up, but it is not a glith. More like common sense and creativity. Unless free thinking has been patched too?

Lol, thats what I think about a lot of spots like that. ITs not a glitch, its a nice trick. Ive discovered quite a few that Ive not seen people use before

If your gonna use C4 FF off, then you might aswell get on the higher roof :)

You can get there without c4, u need 2 supply boxes ttho...

new Server Settings section has been added,

this is a global ruling and applies to both public and clan ranked servers..

§1.20 GLOBAL CONFIGURATON SETTINGS – ALL RANKED SERVERS
§ Min Players: 16
§ sv.password = empty string. Ranked servers may not be password protected. Ranked servers are intended to be available to all players.
§ sv.numPlayersNeededToStart = (6 for maxPlayers 16, 10 for 32, 10 for 64)
§ sv.spawnTime 15
§ sv.manDownTime 15
§ sv.ticketRatio 100
§ sv.teamRatioPercent 100
§ sv.punkBuster 1
§ Though it is not required, EA requests that all servers run Friendly Fire at 100% for all settings, including mines (sv.friendlyFireWithMines).
§ Ranked servers must be entirely "pure" with no customization outside of the default content shipped by DICE/EA. Ranked servers will not be allowed to run Mods or Custom Maps, as we cannot ensure the balance of these components. Custom maps are never permitted.

this from a post you made a few days again so where does it say in htere that it has to be on?
its not on in my server an wo'nt be!
due to the fact that im fed up of gettin nailed by my own team for vechiles.
also my server says nothing of having ff on neither does EA ,
like you posted in your other post THEY PREFER IT ON not have to have it on

GD! The ones that run pure version are the ones that take 5 minutes to verify!

There are many many people for some reason that verification on pure version server (ones with the green monitor next to their name in the server browser) take forever to verify while the others take seconds.

I get up there all the time. When on the roof, find the 4th railing post from the right. back away from it. Now, sprint toward it. make one bunny hop to perfectly land yourself directly on top of the pose and immediately jump again. you will be able to jump to the other roof. You dont even have to look down when you jump. If you miss, there is a box underneath that you land on that keeps you from losing all your health. It takes a little practice, but once you get it you can own because no one ever looks up there. I usually lay down up there and spam grenades like mad while using the support kit. I will also always make myself squad leader there so others can spawn on me up there in case flag is taken. Sometimes they are like, "WTF?!" "how did you get up here?"

I read this thread hoping it was indeed posted by someone else who had seen the same secret area I had seen but alas it was one of the standard secretsofbattlefield.com ones. I came across one last week which isn't mentioned in secretsofbattlefield yet. In fact I don't know how the guys got there, I joined a server one day on MEC team and instantly joined up a squad, I saw the squad leader was somewhere near the train accident, it was a 32 player server and "Market" and "Suburb" were occupied by the US pushing to capture the train accident. Anyway it comes time to spawn and so i do spawn on the Squad Leader and I'm like "Wtf!! Where am I?" I'm inside a wall or something. I pull back a bit to see if I can get my bearings and come out of a wall, I find I'm on top of the five storey building overlooking the 'Train Accident' near the market. I am instantly kicked from the squad and they lock it, staying hidden in the wall popping out every now and again easily taking guys down from this excellent vantage point. They were virtually a self sustaining squad with a full compliment of medics support, spec ops etc. I spent the rest of the round on the roof using a PKM and throwing grenades and the squad wouldn't answer any questions or how they got up there.

Anyone else experienced this?. I've looked around the building several times and I see no legitimate way they could've got up there from adjacent buildings or anything. All the ones in secretsofbattlefield seem obvious once you've read the descriptions but this one seems baffling.

Why jump onto the post at all? theres a perfectly good ramp to let you walk up without any risk of falling and killing yourself!

I used to go up there with a PKM and bump off hordes of USMC at the hotel flag by spamming grenades.. that was before they cottoned on and started sniping me with the L96 and MG36

Also had a whole squad up there once, great fun

Strange, once up there, your squad will stick to you like glue for the rest of the round.

I once saw some guys on another roof near the hotel. It was south of the archway building, next to the allyway where the spawn. I have no idea how they got up there..anyone?
