my gunners in most maps get the gold - no matter who they are
(as long as they have radio)
in Sharq P - we get gold 99%
have many many times over 100 KILLS for gunner

Sharqi is not a good helo map talk about mixed maps like fushe, kubra, daqing or dalian plant instead.

if you want to look at scores -
I have almost 16,000 driver assist points
means gunners get the points
hmmm - at @250 hours means average 64 KIILS per game
and minus the first 50 hours or so when I was learning
adjust the average to 80 KIILS PER ROUND for gunnner
which oddly enough MATCHES what has been happening lately
even AFTER the patches

Also try correcting your math some. There's no way all your driver assist points are from the attack helos. So lets be a bit conservative and cut two thousand points off which leaves 14,000 points. That leaves 14000 points divided by 16350 minutes which is about 0.85 assist points per minute. That isn't very good at all. It's decent but not anything more.

ref favorite gunner KDR = about 15 to 1 when flying with me
and his SPM is now avg 2.2 overall
and is usally 3 to 4 points per minute this past 2 months

I don't understand this TopGunGreg fella: I'm a pilot and unless my gunner is doing a fantastic job, I'll outscore him. Being a good pilot does not mean that one is left only with pointing targets out: one should be able to create the opportunities in case the gunner fails...

but Katts, what gregs stats say depends on how you interpret them. you interpret it as him being a bad pilot because his ratio is so low as is his kpm. But what if this is because he lets the gunner do all the work, like a good pilot ought to? no need for snipe at him methinks.

These are my buddies, and they always let me fly for them to gun. Their ratios will mount in the 20-1 ratios simply because I get them out alive.

2.31 K/D and 0.92 KPM for dark_zero
killerinstinct has a total of 18 minutes in the helo with 0.22 K/D

Are you lying or are you just mentioning the one time you and your fellows managed to get a good score?

First off why would I lie? :P ...and I'm sure that's his handle, but it might have a "1" or something in it. I don't pay attention to their nicks in-game, only on Vent.

Either way, what I was getting at was the same as what you were getting at. Although stats don't prove anything, they do account for some of the overall score some of the gunners get. They will come out with over 30-40 kills and approx. 3 deaths.

Mind you, I only play with them on occasion throughout the week and weekend. I rarely play these last several months, and when I do they are rarely around, makes it tough to play together! :)

You have an amazing amount of driver kill assists, i used to think that having around 1/10 of your score as DK assists was impressive, as i do in my new account.
Greg, ignore katts and other tools, i know you must be a skilled and experienced pilot, and you would be an asset to any clan.
I'm not saying this to 'suck up' to him, i'm saying this because i love playing in a pub as a gunner to someone who knows his role as pilot and performs well. Grats dude

... better yet, become self-reliant by learning to fly, TV and seat-switch. Why risk it and depend on others when you can do everything yourself ? :)

I have to admit that gunning for a competent pilot is fun and relaxing though: the responsibility/burden is nowhere near as great and you still get to kick some gluteus!

The aggressive style of flying in goofs video is not suitable for having a gunner...
I think they would only annoy the hell out if him...

The difference between me and Goof, is that he flyes with a joystick and is unable to guide tv missiles by himself, something which I CAN do...

What you do not see in the video, is the ammount of reloading he has to do, where as I would still have seven tv-missiles to work with...
