Getting Owned By Helo's....

Ok, this post is gonna sound unworthy. But believe me, its not. Not in the slightest.
Lately, especially on Sharki, but certainly on all other helo maps, it seems like the Helos are mopping up, and taking names.
Here we go.
AA. USE IT. its there, it works. If it doesnt, it probally will scare away the copter.
Buggies/Vodniks, etc. Use these. These are the best weapons against copters, as they tear them up real fast.
I cant tell you how many times i've seen 2 or so buggies sitting near a copter attack, with people running away or past them. For Gods sake jump in it, and take some shots!
That goes for AA too. People run by or away from it. Wacky.
AT. This thing works wonders as well, especially at a spamming helo pilot, who is usally hoovering still. Shoot at the damn thing.
Ok...so lately i've been on teams getting owned by them, hence this post.
On the flip side, i've been on teams using VOIP, and believe me...the enemy copter was rarely ever seen, because we would actually acknowledge the thing, and then, yep, shoot at it.'
I feel better now. :)

Yep, this is a prime example of why I never thought the helicopters were "overpowered".

Sure they can do alot of damage, but they at least have several enemies to keep them at bay. Trust me, I know this, being an avid helo pilot/gunner.

I'll never forget the comments made by a couple of those ".UK. guys saying how the helos will have been nerfed to the point we wouldn't be able to fly them properly; surprise surprise, I've yet to see one post exclaiming that they were right, because they were never able to adapt to the game's mechanics and are probably still getting taken care of.

I for one find it funner to fly the helicopters, if not for the simple fact that it is easier for me to be taken down, gives me more satisfaction when I survive with only 3 bars left :)

I am one of those helo pilots
hehe - we OWN the map
sometimes get hurt by AA or jeeps
when they are smart enought to use it
but then we send our ground troops to kill AAA first
or we spend all our time killing AAA and jeeps before troops
hmmm
either way, the team that plays smart and coordinated wins
wow - what a novel idea - teamwork wins :P

heh, I just thought of something that might get some guys helo killing happy.
Make specific medals for it. Same with planes, and tanks.
Basic Helo Takedown badge.
Expert Helo-Takedown badge.
Followed by the covetted:
Helo Hunter Veteran badge.

and yes a helo will own, because the team getting owned by them, allows it. I firmly believe this. Unless of course your stuck at one flag. Then its tough. But if you got 3 or 4 flags, a helo should not even be in the air for more then 1 minute once spotted.

I want the howitizers back. Nothing better then pixel shooting a flag 50 in game miles away and killing 9 people.
I want the scud back too.....same for the same reason as the howie :)

I played EuroForces yesterday, and two of hte maps strike a familiar resemblance to DC/POE. Not the weapons/vehicles, but how the maps are laid out and how the battles between tanks/jets are done. I had a blast playing them, they are very nostalgic, whoever doesn't like the new maps obviously has never played DC. J/K, but seriously, I had alot of fun on them!

Yeah you must really own the map with 1.04 K/D and your 0.25 KPM.

didnt buy Euro Forces. Armored Fury I'm going to though.
But your comments....... are making me think different.
I LOVE BF2.....alot.
However, even though i get alot of fun and enterainment value from BF2,
the fun factor really isnt as high as Desert Combat was.
To turn the thread......
Anyone here think DC was a tad bit more...."fun" then bf2?
And if so, Why? Im curious.

but Katts, what gregs stats say depends on how you interpret them. you interpret it as him being a bad pilot because his ratio is so low as is his kpm. But what if this is because he lets the gunner do all the work, like a good pilot ought to? no need for snipe at him methinks.

im not a pilot, but the A-10. Its wonderful. I flew it the most in DC when I got the urge to fly, that would be my choice. Not just the spammer version either, both versions of weapon payloads. The whine it makes..... oh yeah. You just know your flying something with some serious fighting power.

I'm quite aware that the pilot gets a very low killscore. That is not an excuse for a very very low K/D though. I also asked for his gunners profile to make sure. I'm betting that his gunner isn't above 5-6 K/D and with a fairly low KPM.

I also have every reason to snipe att TPG. He is a jackass with no knowledge of cheats and still accuses everything that moves of cheating. They even have the ability to know someone is cheating just by spectating them. I can't even do that in any half-life game unless it's a blatant aimbot or wallhack and then it's mostly visible in first person anyway which BF2 completely lacks. He is a tard and I will try to point this out at every occasion.

I have never flamed anyone in any FORUM

as a the PILOT - my score SHOULD be low - you A**hat

my gunners in most maps get the gold - no matter who they are
(as long as they have radio)
in Sharq P - we get gold 99%
have many many times over 100 KILLS for gunner

if you want to look at scores -
I have almost 16,000 driver assist points
means gunners get the points
hmmm - at @250 hours means average 64 KIILS per game
and minus the first 50 hours or so when I was learning
adjust the average to 80 KIILS PER ROUND for gunnner
which oddly enough MATCHES what has been happening lately
even AFTER the patches

as I said - you are the ONLY a** in this forum

ref favorite gunner KDR = about 15 to 1 when flying with me
and his SPM is now avg 2.2 overall
and is usally 3 to 4 points per minute this past 2 months
