Gday fellas

I've just come right from playing karkand on an Xtra NZ server, and actually enjoying the fragfest!

I took an APC (spawned engy of course) and loaded it up with passengers, then took off past the hotel, making a beeline for the suburb. only 1 person remained past the hotel, but as soon as i arrived he bailed and hunted for troops (the commander was being a pain and wouldnt support us). suddenly i had another few guys spawn on me and we took the flag. in 2 vehicles, we went down to the train wreck. I told the car with half the squad to stay behind and take it while the other half went to the gatehouse and took that. We then all met at the cement factory, and took it nice and quickly before finally succumbing at the factory.

I was the only bloke with voip unfortunately, but it was an absolute blast. being able to cap flags in a moment, knowing that i had people cruising around checking for hidden enemies, repairing up while taking a flag, it was awesome

I find this very annoying, not being able to play with others who actually do teamwork...

Good teamwork start with you.
Spawn on your SL, try your best to keep him alive, yap on VOIP, use your spot command, observe which way your mates are looking and try to make sure you help cover angles they might miss.

You're likely to find that it's contagious. As you show people how to get things going with teamwork, they'll pick up the idea. And if they don't... well, you're still going to find you'll be doing better anyway.

You shouldn't have any ping issues anywhere inside the US... or Canada.

Mate, whats your US pings like?? cos i'd be a fan of playing your server if i can, i've heard good things and i find node servers usually have issues working against teamwork, like that only-allowed-to-create-2-squads thing..

Well I'm in NSW baggy, I know your a Queenslander from memory and I ping 197ms and our server is fully dedicated to us only so there is never any lag and it plays like a LAN game. We have VOIP at max quality and working BR on 64 player maps. I lag more on GA and Internode with a ping of 17ms than I do on ours its rediculous, cause they stack so many instances of BF2 onto a server. Plus our server is ranked higher than every single GA server and there is only 1 Internode server ranked higher than ours, their 24/7 Karkand so we must be doing something right.

Of course teamwork is a high priority and everyone uses VOIP, also if you want a game jump on our TS sometime and say hi mate.

BTW there are quite a few Aussie's that play there too, plus people from all over the world. Plus that's where you find the Gimp hanging out too.

I agree nothing almost nothing is more satisfying than a squad full of guys using teamwork. You get on voip and say "Ok guys im at the tv station ready to take it, I need everyone to spawn on me." 2 seconds later everyone in your squad spawns on you! One thing I have noticed most is that most of my best teamwork squads have come from a lot lower ranked players. Talking Srgt and lower! Speaks good for them.

BF2Freak, unfortunately i just then came from a GA server, it was beyond a joke.. the chinese didnt even have a chance to attack the carrier, they had no need to. teamkillers abounded, and with 5 tks permitted and no kick vote option, it was awful.. love the way this game takes you up one minute then down the next!

Point taken. I don't recall unfortunately, the IP of that Singapore server. It's a small server only 15 on each side and we ran on the Surge. As you know it's bigger compared to our team size. We all were lone wolves. Still he moved as I moved. He breathed as I breathed. He ****ed when I ****ed. Every one shot at the same direction. We just take a glimpse at each one of us movement and what we were doing and we just cope with each other. Somehow, VoIP is not needed. And we took several choke point.

Last night, I was on the Game Arena server playing Warlord, the Commander was very keen. He talked us all the way through. Poor soul, no body was talking to him back including myself. That's because my mic was borrowed by my cousin. It's a very good mic, you can talk at 2 feet from it and the other side still receives it loud and clear.

Somehow, you just don't know how it aspire you to do that team work and stickto team spirit. And you may not need VoIP if everyone has the heart to go team work!

I'm new to BF2 but have had that "perfect teamwork" moment that i'm now trying to recreate... was in a full squad. only one member - the leader - had VOIP. Soft spoken but would issue perfect commands via VOIP. We would drive from flag to flag - "get out", "get in", "cover me", "sweep". I completely didn't mind taking his one word commands although could have been a little "hey, stop telling me what to do", it came totally of as just pure teamwork and leadership and worked great... I totally agree that this is when BF2 shines the most.

I do this more often then you may think, but I normally(75%) of the time get the same response, nothing... and it gets frustrating because I do a lot better playin as a squad, i get more kills, die less, and most of all enjoy the gameplay..
