What you using, ideally prefer a 5:1 set anyone using one? What's it like? Any recommendations I'll spend upto 100 quid.

Medusa speedtouch set, the one that comes with it's own amp. It's 5.1 and absolutely fantastic, £30-40.

I'd recommend the Speedlink Medusa 5.1, they're fantastic, yuo get a seperate Amp included and the sound placement and quality is great.

I've been drooling over that Zalman headset for so long... I just can't really afford to spend over $100 on a headset.

Personally I use a Plantronics Audio 90 that I bought for like $50CDN.

Edit: Whoa it's only $70 at Memory Express

I'll be eating porridge, nipples wired to the speakers, my new magic conch cap on, listenin to the sea two clicks behind the carrier swimming alone, cheers good deal.

Whoever isn't playing with a headset and a decent sound card are missing out on half of the game. 5.1 speakers sound great, but don't convey the 3D positioning as well. I can locate planes that got away, footsteps and vehicles much better with headphones than speakers. Make sure you have a decent card that supports EAX. Set game to hardware and medium or high quality, enable EAX and buy an ANALOG headset. Don't waste your money on USB as it bypasses your soundcard and renders the sound via software. I use cheap Plantronics Audio 90s ($16) that are comfortable, sound good and are cheap to replace.
