No, I was talking about if they still are using pistols and knives during the round.

My ping was too high to be effective with the on slaught....it is an intense battle with pistols and knives only....totaly a diferent stradegy. But once I found out it was illegal.......:ar15: :dead: :dead: :cussing: :shakehead

if you would accidently (don't ask me how this happens accidently) would join a knife pistol server, just take a tank and kill them all, this would be fun

It has happen, so in the begining I played along until I found out it was illega.....but....wow...what a battle. The only flag you can take is the hotel in a 64 map. If you go to and play normal....is that wrong. I was sniping due to my high ping and some got mad and tried to kick me and some guy brought a tank from the mecs side....oh what a maul that was.:laugh:

The admin closed the other 10 threads for a reason.
And yes there are ranked pistol/knife servers, but they are hard to find and they are against the ROE, I found one by accident after joining it, but I dont care anymore cause I got what I needed to.

hell i like to join those servers and have a TK fest until the round starts just because my score stays 0 0 0

i love doing that..especially when everyone knows that what you should do while waiting for people...

That reminds me, when I was on this server a guy kept running me over, probally because I sniped him alot, but when I ran out of ammo, I went with the pistol, so I became a spec op and killed him and his buddy:laugh:

Yes there is one out there. Since it is illegal to have one, I was sniping at them and they tried to kick me and failed. Some guys were using tanks against guys with knives and pistols, now that is funny. If you want to have a good time as an assalt guy or sniper, go to, I'll have to look up......wait.....it is right here.

I'd be careful of this. From what I've read over at bf2rs, this is a good way to get your stats reset, even if you're doing nothing wrong. I've found it's best to just stay away from these servers with illegal rules/restrictions.

On a side note....goofing off with pistols/knives is fun while waiting for enough people to officially start a round. I don't see why this should be wrong since it's not like any stats are being generated. If it is something illegal, then I guess I won't be participating anymore.

Then EA needs to delete these servers, bucause it says right there in the title what it is. Someone can easily be taken to it when they log on and not beaware of it or know it is illegal, since it is fun.....but not with a high ping.

I can say there have been a few times where people have asked for the round itself to be knife/pistol after the pre-round playing. Never has anyone agreed to it (only seen it asked twice), but what if they did? That is one way you could accidentaly join one. Easily avoided though, just leave.

These servers which most of them are ranked popup during the week from time to time but I have yet to see a 24/7 knives/pistols only server up all week.

Ive been into a few of these servers and most of the time the admin is present kicking and banning those not useing knives and pistols only. It's funny standing on the perimeter of the battle area and listing to all the pistols firing. Sounds like balls popping.

Ahhh...it always warms my heart to hear of this. :)

For those that don't remember and prob quite a few here do, I originally started the Knife and Pistol servers...we had a massive thread on TotalBF2 which got deleted But we had 3 servers running Knife Pistol 24/7

why would you need to hone knife skills?

practice singleplayer if you need to. just hop around a lot, dont stay on the ground, there youre vulnerable.

also, practice on unwilling snipers. in my experience they are too stupid and lack the skills to do anything against a knife attacker, even with the pistol they can never hit you if youre good.

hahahaha i got bored yesterday and decided to mess around with the bombers in clean sweep in singleplayer....after i stopped with that i played the rest of the round with my knife....singleplayer sucks for training with it.....you can just zig-zag towards an AI Bot and they will never hit you (they will shoot) and you can go and stab them in the head, cuz they are always crouching :p
