A 2006 release seems ridiculously early. BF2 is a cash cow and they're already going to release the next edition within a year? Seems unlikely.

Spring/Summer 2007 would make a lot more sense, give BF2 its 1.5~2 years in the spotlight, milk it for mods, another expansion pack and a bunch of booster packs then call it a day.

Don't be so quick to judge EA...they thrive on the fact that they can/will release anything "Battlefield" related and that people will buy it...all the time still releasing stuff for BF2 and making money then on as well.

I watched that video, it looks damn cool, like the invisible guy running around, but will it be "Battlefield-esque"...like, will it feel like a BF game.

Only time will tell.

This is freakin pathetic. EA, I hope you go completely bankrupt for dropping BF2 like the US dropped Afghanistan. So, they decided to appeal even MORE to the 7 year olds out there, huh? SCREW YOU, EA. Let me guess, no blood.

i don't remember any blood in any of the Battlefield games. in BF2, all that shows is a puff a dust.

as expected ... BF2 is so bugy that its easyer to make new game on this engine then to fix Bf2 ... its sad that BF2 is still in beta stage ... and we paid for full product ... DICE is worse that Microsoft ... sad but thrue. At least there is some hope for ForgottenHope to bring some life to BF2.

You are an idiot. Sorry just had to say that. This is old and has been posted numoruos (sp?) and I am almost positive that EA acknolwedges it and willl say it is their game in production. This has been posted 3 times but in bad detail. If you search you can find screenies. Good Thread though. I cant wait to blow up some Russians.
