Not enough content to waste the time and supplies on. I'm not saying it should have been free... hell, I've got buisness sense... but it's just not enough to put on a disk. Take a look around these forums. A single person could have, and very well might have, crated these three maps, weapons and vehicles. the only way to release it was by bandwidth cost alone. Anything else would have cost more to sell than it'd make.

Good point, well presented. With that in mind I wouldn't have minded waiting for EF and AF to released as one big boooster pack. I would have been OK with paying a little more for it in stores, and there is the (remote) possibility that the extra time taken could have been used to iron out a couple of bugs.

Don't be surprised when it is. It's highly likely you'll see that exact combo, or a special edition of SF with that combo, in stores before Christmas.

I said yes, but only if they would have done it the same way as they did in germany (download key in a box), as for wanting the case and CD look on here there is a topic with the box art and CD cover you can print off and a topic on how to copy the downloaded EF to a CD.

Yes, FFS EA downloader is terrible.

I like the idea of downloading games, but if the downloader program is so buggy...(EF still doesn't work for me) then they should at least sell it in stores...

You missed the option: "It doesn't make a difference to me"

That's what Steam was like at the start, but now it's absolutely fine.

Give EA time. They will fix the probs.

                  1. I know
                  2. Yes, but if their downloader doesn't work like it should....they should sell in stores until it does....

And you are right, not enough content to put in stores...but in that case they should have just made an xpack and doubled cost....

and how is one account stupid? if you have multiple people, they should be able to pony up 10 bucks, or they dont get it, simple as that.
You wouldn't neccesarily have to pay $20, it';d probably stay at $10, SF was still $30 off of EA Downloader. One account is stupid because what if you want to create a new account? What if something happens to your account? Or what if you have a brother or sister that plays on the same PC. All of the points for both sides seem to be pretty good except for this one.

Absolutely!!! I still can't get the thing installed. Would have been easier to buy the CD! The EA downloader is easy enough, but EA was more worreid about people ripping them off than providing an easy install for their existing customers who already shelled out $50 for BF2. The trouble is because of all their "security features". Nice move EA!

Yeah i like having something to show for it. Plus it's good in case something happebns to your computer. I realize that you could just put EF on a disc but not all people do or they may have not thought of it until it was too late.

The way i see it is that the EA downloader will improve but until they had it perfected, they should not release something completely through EA downloader unless its free. Even if you didn't experience problems, there are many paying customers who did so i don't think the EA downloader should be used totally until it is more effective than it is now. Until then, things on it should be free. I'm not saying tha EF should be free but what EA should have done to test the downloader was maybe release a free map or use it for some kind of game demo, that way peopel wouldn't have to pay $10 just to experience a problem.

personally, I dont have a credit card. I know I could, but its just not worth the hassle. And without a CC, I cant use EA downloader, so yeah, it definitly should have been available in stores.
