Reloading, (oh yeah it's an arcade game)

It would make such a monumental difference to combat within Battlefield if reloading was treated realistically, but would it be a better game?.. I don't think so.
For those who whine about this n that not being like real life, complaining about bulletdrop being 500mm out at 300 meters, i never hear them moan about the fact that you can reload halfway through emptying a clip, and the unused bullets magically make there way into another clip and don't end up on the floor. d(EA)ice could change this, it would certainly make players respect their ammunition more, and use that full clip instead of reloading everytime they get chance, but would it be for the better?
    I'm unsure, opinions please...

Uh, I was in the mindset that when you reload you drop the clip and the ammunition that is in it.

Indeed, I try to exhaust all my magazines because you DO lose the ammunition left in it once you hit reload.

Uh, you do, in fact, lost he bullets when you reload.

Exhausting every clip is a bad idea. How many times have you actually run of out bullets? I am sure it is less times than you have died because your clip ran out.

I have played a good 200 hours and have run out of bullets maybe 10 times and I am quite liberal with reloading.

I seriously don't think the reload economy with respect to ammunition use would magically make the game more realistic or better. If you shot 15 out of 30 rounds, would you stop and refill the clip? In the middle of a war? Hell no you wouldn't. You would use your ammunition with a lot more care and you would not randomly spray teammates or vehicles that dont pick you up. In fact, in R/L combat, you would use single or burst fire ALWAYS. You run outta ammo you are as good as dead.
Besides I play for entertainment, to have fun. If I want R/L I'll reenlist in the U.S. Army again.

Hell's yeah you would! I would much rather have to ask the guy next to me for an extra clip or go for a resupply than get caught 5 bullets too short in a battle.

As to the cellphone quote. . . it was from another message board. . .ctrl-c I guess didn't work. :)

That MP7 needs more clips, lol. I always ran out of ammo on it. I ussually use half of the clip, and reload, unless i see someone else.

Next time you post something make sure you are right dude. Everybody knows that when you reload you actually loose that clip no matter how many bullets left in it. So it IS realistic. IMHO I think its one of the good feature of this game as you gotta take a chance whether or not you wanna keep a half--clip.
