The next dolphin dive

Can someone explain to me what that weird looking sideways roll that PKM'ers do when they spot you? The one where they are standing with their PKM, spot you then start firing their weapon and at the same time doing a really odd looking sideways somersault to end up prone with gun still firing at you.
During the somersault the gun is firing a full 360 degree circle anti clockwise, perpendicular to you.

Somehow it makes them almost impossible to hit, unless you are already prone and got your gun pointing in their direction, and makes their shots whilst in the somersault to be very accurate. If i can get a capture of someone doing it to me i will post it here so as to better explain my question.

Got another weird one just before - a sniper was literally bouncing up and down whilst in the prone position - never actually getting out of prone - whilst bouncing up to above head hieght and back down to proper prone hieght and so on. After about 2 seconds of me, gun in hand, dumbfounded, he finally let off a round and boom, dead. He 'flew' about 4 times. The reason i didnt fire was because i was all out "WTF???" standing there like a stuffed dummy unable to figure out what he was doing.

Strafe and prone. It's a 3rd-person animation only, and therefore makes no difference in 1st-person view.

You can still dolphin dive in this game...

hi guys im admin in a server an ill have to say every dolphin diver ive seen in game i have kicked due to the fact that dolphin diving was not possible due to the patch,
so as a rule any of are clan members that see dolphin diving kick the player due to the release of hacks.
if this upsets any body tuff **** blame EA for stating that dolphin diving was no longer possible

WEll, this was around long ago and it doesn't affect anything for you or them unless you have a hard time hitting a slow moving target. I agree it looks odd. . . but once you realize that it doesn't really do anything, they are quite easy to hit.

all you need to do in order to dolphin dive is:

PRONE - CROUCH - JUMP - PRONE - CROUCH - JUMP - etc etc..

just hit crouch, and jump really fast... any idiot can do it.

I wish I could understand what you wrote because your lack of comprehensible English boggles me. Anyways, dolphin diving/prone spamming... it looks pretty much the same. However, post-1.2 pretty much the same effect be done by what I said earlier. It's just a way to get around the delay you have after you go prone. Then after that you can still go prone in the air, and do it again. Granted, you can't shoot in the air... the same effect can be achieved because it becomes very difficult for the other person to hit you.
