WEll, this was around long ago and it doesn't affect anything for you or them unless you have a hard time hitting a slow moving target. I agree it looks odd. . . but once you realize that it doesn't really do anything, they are quite easy to hit.

You're right off course. It's not so much a problem when you're street fighting. If you see it, shoot it.

It's sometimes a problem when you're sniping. Do you take that little bit more time to aim better, or do you squeeze the trigger because you're spotted. Because of the rolling animation you cannot judge this, which is a anoying, but yeah, no big thing.

dosnt add up.
it says in a ealier patch that dolphin diving (shooting whilest diving)has been removed.
or is it that your that new to the forum you aint got a clue?

hi guys im admin in a server an ill have to say every dolphin diver ive seen in game i have kicked due to the fact that dolphin diving was not possible due to the patch,
so as a rule any of are clan members that see dolphin diving kick the player due to the release of hacks.
if this upsets any body tuff **** blame EA for stating that dolphin diving was no longer possible

Do you mean shooting while dolphin diving ? As dolphin diving alone is not a hack as another poster pointed out its possible with the use of crouch. There was a video posted as well just after 1.2 illustrating the different ways of doing it.

well yes but in the ealier read me files with the patch it just says that dolphin diving is no longer possible so i surpose theres a debate to which an what is actual dolphin diving.
as i said in my ealier post i have seen people in are server still diving whilest shooting in which has surposed to been removed by the patch,
so are clan now just kicks the people that are able to this in game.
but in are server we have had haxors that are able to this,
these have already been posted on bf2 in earlier threads which also call it dolphin diving.

Well if they are firing in the air theres something not right with them definately.

If Dice say they removed it, dont believe them, theyre not the best at testing. Its definately not as effective as the old dolphin diving as you cant stay in the air constantly and you can only fire intermittantly. I dont see why people would do it now it would be more effective to prone spam or just play as normal i think.

BUG FIXES & GAMEPLAY TWEAKS
- Dolphin Diving is no longer possible
- Players can no longer jump and shoot at the same time
- "Prone Spamming" is now fixed
- "Sprint exploit" is now fixed
- Helicopters now carry 8 missiles rather than 14
- TV-Guided missile now have a shorter range
- Damage decreased from M134
- Hit points on all air vehicles has been reduced
- AA missile lock has been improved
- All support kit weapons have been adjusted
- All Sniper rifles have been adjusted
- Sa80 has been adjusted
- G3A3 has been adjusted
- Reload while sprinting has been enabled
- Medic defibrillator paddles have been adjusted. They now reload while not in use.
- SCAR-L reload sound has been fixed
- Server setting to allow friendly fire to be off on mines without affecting other weapons.
- Server search filters now work properly
- Mines can no longer be destroyed with other explosives
- Bug in MP7 fire rate fixed. Ammo count increased and mag count and damage decreased
- Flash bang effect radius decreased
- Added unlocks for Sniper and AT kits
- Fixed a bug in terrain rendering with night vision, whereby terrain was still dark in dark areas.

Personally, I think anyone that uses that tactic should get their stats wiped, along with a GUID ban. Definition of exploit, "To employ to the greatest possible advantage: exploit one's talents." (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=exploit). A player is taking advantage of the game engine, and having an advantage over other players by doing this. Why? Because to other players it looks like you're hoppin all over the place, and to you you're not.

before the patch i would of said no,but since EA/DICE made alterations to the game to remove them i would now say yes.
this is my point of the post saying that are clan kicks people if there found dd as its not surposed to be there.
also we have had hackers in are server an the hack allows all types of shooting/throwing whilest jumping/dd.
i currently have the hack on my hd not installed(but tryed an tested on are locked server)
we get these hacks just to find out what we're lookin for.
the problem with bf2 isnt as much as the hackers any more its the exploits an clitches with bf2,
in which all have been mentioned before to EA/DICE an it seems that nothing gets done about em.

Dolphin Diving (noun) a) the act of jumping, proning to receive an aim bonus, firing, and standing up again before you hit the ground. b) not to be confused with going prone to avoid fire/gain an aim bonus.

Dolphin Diving is defunct now. Going prone for that aim bonus however is still done often. DICE is aware of that this occurs and is looking into the issue. (On a personal note it annoys me as well.)

the only people i have seen t oable to still dd are the hackers.

Ah ok i thought you were talking about that type of dolphin diving, luckily I have never seen the old style consistent dolphin diving. I dont think I have ever seen a hacker in bf2 tbh. :)

Exactly. Which completely screws it up for the person shooting at him.

Nothing some normal reflexes cannot take care of. Instead of watching the pretty prone roll in awe and admiration, try shooting at them next time. WHen they die, pat yourself on the back.
This "roll" has been in the game since day 1, it is not an exploit, it is just an animation.
I cannot believe people are still crying about diving. Wait a minute, yes I can.
