Seems alot of guys didnt get what the first guy was asking. He meant that when he moved the mouse the crosshair moves to much.
The solution i simple, lower your mouse sensitivity in the controls section.
(note that you can set the sensitivity below 1.)

There is also a consol command that i dont know that allow you to set your mouse sensitivity.

Easiest solution is to go by the flag distance markers use them as a bearing. Experiance will take over eventually.

Firstly, I think the sniping class and weapons are fine and do not require adjustment. As for lining up your shot try getting a high DPi laser mouse. I now use a Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000. I have also set the right side button to performance booster (this lets me slow down my mouse movement whilst pressed) which helps me fine tune the line up for the headshot. This works just as well for taking out snipers with the conventional assault rifles.

Also a good video card does help with the high resolution settings showing a clearer target at distance.

A fixed 10X zoom would be fine because it makes snipers good at long range and crap at close range

I know i turned my roller ball mouse down and it helped a lot. now i can get head shots as it does not move much or to fast. For the first time last night i was picking players off left right and centre.

Im thinking adding a second usb mose thats not a rollball just for snipeing and use the roller on for the rest. My mate uses two mouse for a flight sim.

Logitech G5 gaming mouse - perfect for sniping. Its got 3 mouse sensitivity settings controlled from the mouse itself! So if im playing normally i have it on medium and if im sniping i can instantly switch to low sensitivity.

sniping is not hard in this game. I easily get 70 pts a round with out claymore spamming. A rangefinder is pointless, just for bragging rights. Turn your gamma down and you will be able to see 30 - 40% farther.
This dontent help for headshots but its pretty easy to get body shots. Just

I've been playing on ranked servers from the day of release and have never seen a pure sniper score 70 pts in a round, at least not on 64 player servers.

its not that hard but you only really get 70 points on karkand and sharki. Just hop up on the crane and its kills galore! Or you can just spawn right in the middle of a battle and drop a bunch of claymores
