    thats incredibly stupid. if the claymore leaving sniper isnt brain dead, hell have made it impossible to easily get behind the claymore.

    if youre behind the claymore its not a problem. just from any other direction, including 90 degrees to the side itll explode randomly.

    and for mines, perhaps you should hide them.... and you underestimate the stupidity of many vehicle drivers, whom i have personally watched drive right into HUGELY visible clumps of mines.

    the problem with trip line claymores is that they become exactly like c4, except only useful in one direction against personnel.

    still much better than how it is at the moment.

    in real life, mines and claymores have to be hidden to be effective, unless the enemy are stupid.

    that it shall be in BF2 as well.

        It's possible to rig the claymore to detonate with a tripwire instead of a clacker, but takes time and it HAS to be well camoflaged. It isn't even feasible in a game to get that level of realism. The sniper would have to just set up the trap and sit around (about 100m away at the max) waiting for a victim. It might work in some kind of jungle combat game, with more trees and foliage, but not BF2.

            Claymores should be destroyable by any explosives. They shouldn't be destroyable with bullets since that would render them largely useless for what they're made for (covering the sniper's ass), you could just hop on a hill and shoot it off the ladder post, or even snipe it off from a distance.

            AT mines should be destroyable with C4, but not other explosives.
