Why Do You BF2?

Simple question with a poll. 3 responses.

What drives you to play BF2? Do you play for the Stats/Awards? Maybe you play just for some good old entertainment. Or maybe you play to let your stress out on some poor innocent player. Cast your vote now!

I personally BF2 for the Stats more than anything. I rarely jump in a game to have some fun. I'm competitive, which can sometimes make me really stressed out. Kind of backwards if you think about it. I should be playing to releave stress lol.

Even if there were no stats I would still play
Stats are nice but they in a way make people cheat more

I love the game. Its great fun to me. The stats/awards are supplimentary. They give me goals to work towards.

I have fun playing it. I used to be as addicted to CS, but now this has sort of taken any free time I have...although my girlfriend is still not impressed I would rather play this than go to the cinema with her

I play for the stats, and the entertainment. I entertain myself by doing well in BF2.

Play for fun, sometimes competitiveness, ranks, stats, awards all a bonus and give the game longetivity and gives you something to aim for.

I like playing for fun. I do like the stats only becasue they are a measure on if I am improving or not. I still do not have the Explosive, Knife, or Pistol badges yet, it is fun to try for them every now and then. I can only play a couple of hours a week, so I will never get most of the awards.

You might find it crazy, but I love doing things a lot of people don't. For instance, I don't mind hopping in a buggy, as engineer, and staying right on the tail end of a tank as he goes to battle. As he is hit, I hid behind him, and he is constantly repaired.

Last night I played on the Zatar Wetlands server. I decided to focus on one spawn point and defend it the entire game. I was a Spec Ops and I had a good commander. I killed nearly 20 people defending that point alone. I love playing defense more than going on the offensive.

I will do pretty much any role that a squad leader or teammate asked me to do, even if I don't get a lot of points. Just as long as I get a thank you from my teammates, that is all the reward that is meaningful to me.

For that matter, I would say the same thing that everyone else has said so far, i.e., fun, stats, goals, points, burning time, online gaming brotherhood, competition, and random acts of simulated homicide where possible.

I play for fun mainly but the MMORPGer in me is really really attracted to the stats awards progression side of things.

However fun comes first at a pinch. (the stats and stuff are fun for me)

My Boyfriend is very lucky in that respect, although he had to buy me my own copy to stop me hogging his.

same here, only i married her so she thinks she has more of a right to nag me about it she says lol
