Its always nice to have some extra stuff for whenever you get bored of the original maps.
But its not a waste of money but I think its a waste of the devs' time, creating all that which hardly anyone likes.
Its sad because I could give no more than 3 ideas for a booster pack and I KNOW people would like it. Giving us a place to alter equipment and acsessories to wear to make your player unique, bottlenecked city maps weapon classes to choose from a number of unlocks which are assigned to 2 or so kits eg shotguns and smgs for engineers and AT to mix and match. ( More of packs you have to buy that will work on every single map)
If we are buying things they need to think about what we want most, then it wont matter how much it costs.
Instead we get a tiny pack that everyone will get bored of within a week.
Well, i dont care about $10. For me it was not worth the time I spent playing it. Tabara Quarry and Smoke Screen are jet/heli whore wet dream come true. When I played them as a solo heli pilot I finished first, with sth. like 30-2 KDR. Then when I tried tanks - it was pretty much the opposite. AA is as ineffective as it was in 1.12 times. Good job EA, those jet whores have their dedicated maps with a lot of shiny tanks to blow up. If someone thought about tank fights, the finese art of missile ballistic - well, think twice. By the time you crawl up that hill you will be shoot by a helo or a jet. Really, you stand very little chance in that slow piece of junk of yours.
Now, great wall was supposed to be an infantry map. Oh, yeah. Infantry combat there is as entertaining as on operation clean sweep. Sure you can camp the whole map with a sniper rifle hoping for some unlucly noob to leave his vehicle and try repair it. Well, aprart from that it is very, very boring. I mean, it is even more boring than shongua stalemate - and that means something.
I dont care about jet whores saying this is a great addon. I dont care. I will stick to Karkand/Sharqi/Mashtur and FU EA. Well, I am never going to buy your franchise any more. You just seem to have lost it.

p.s. I cant even think how much more jet friendly Armoured Fury will be. I guess the name says it all - tank whores will be furious.
p.s. And btw, I had to DL this **** twice, as for the first time I got a CRC error and the whole 300+MB file went down the drain. I mean, guys... didnt you think about on-the-fly CRC checking? Did you hire a summer intern to make the installer? Come on, dont lie... You did, didn't you?
I have to agree. I thought Euroforce was gonna be awesome. I already love the EU, so I thought this would be perfect for me. What sucks is there is no point of playing medic, sniper, support, or assult, unless you're gonna get in a vehicle, but you can do that with any kit. Seriously I mean, I like having some tanks around, but there are like 4 tanks in each main base and 2 per flag on OSS. I love playing sniper and support, as well as being a heli gunner with my clanmate, but other than that I usually don't mess with vehicles that much, unless I want to get from point A to point B really fast, then I'll take a buggy. Taraba Quarry is alright, but its still a vehicle fest. Great Wall is okay, but still too many tanks. What happened to maps like Gulf of Oman where there are like 1-2 tanks per team on 32 player. Instead of 8-9 on EF. I mean its not even close.
You can't walk around on foot (unless your AT) in EF and hope to survive, particulary on OSS. I mean the tanks are everywhere and the lack of cover between flags makes you easy to spot. Maps like Karkand, Mashturr, Sharqi, Oman, Dragon V, Dailan Plant, Ghost Town, Surge, Iron Gator, Warlord, and Night Flight are WAY better.
So why didnt you spend 60 seconds reading this forum (or ANY other BF2 forum for that matter) BEFORE you bought it then?? idiots like you make me laugh, there have been map round-ups for the last 2 weeks, and detailed gameplay round-ups since it launched.
Oh yeah you couldn't have come in here whining if you would have researched it first :laugh:

My understanding was the Amoured Fury pack was supposed to be about vehicles and tanks... Not this one.
I'm guessing in AF you'll spawn as a tank, fire small tanks from the barrel, and be driving on a huuuge tank. BUT you'll get a new pistol unlock.

Tell me what other things do you buy without researching for at least 60 seconds? Im afraid that you should never buy another PC game again because some others involve things you cant just guess at.
People knew what they was getting before they paid, they knew it was 3 maps and a few vehicles and weapons and they knew thier would be a chance they did not like the maps.
You take that chance everytime you buy a game you have not pre-played. No-one is forcing you to buy extra content you can still play on normal servers so why bitch!
just ADJUST to the game man is this so hard??? And if you can't do that than i'm afraid EF wasn't meant for you , case closed .

I never said I was forced into buying it. If EA would have said there is little opertunity to exploit the new weapons in the only maps you can use them, then I wouldn't have bought it, so I didn't know what I was getting in to.

In my opinion, it would have been much better, like I've said many times, if the new weapons, which I think are great, could actually be applied.

LOL. I for one don't "do research" when I am buying something for like $10. I just buy the thing I think I might like, and if I dont like it I say why. I dont "whine", as I dont feel tricked into buying it, and I dont expect anyone to tell me I should have done any homework first. Besides, most internet forums just plain suck as they are crowded with 16yr olds with nothing better to do then write 20 posts a day - so suggesting a 'research project' here on that $10 investment isnt really reasonable.
sounds good that they have a proper vehicle based map atlast. vanilla has plenty of lost village style maps but none that come close to a gazala or el al. might actually be worth a look
