Re: How real do you want BF2 to be?

you cant compare the mp5 to the m16
the mp5 fire the same ammo as a pistol does; 9mm

the m16 has almost triple the range, and over 3 times the muzzle velocity as the mp5

the thing id like to see most out of anything is the ability to climb those pesky 2 foot hills

and maybe some better hit detection with some of the weapons and vehicles
a single well placed shot from the AT missiles should bring a chopper to the ground, no questions asked
c4 should blow off the treads of a tank, not completely destroy it
if you placed it over the engine, then maybe it could completely destroy it

I got what i expected when i bought the game so gameply wise i was very happy the only thing i want added is blood i mean come on arcade or not it is a war game and in war there is lots of blood

I have the reality mini mod thing and watching blood spurt out of someone is great and makes you feel like you shot him

The game is great the way it is... aside from pkm accuracy and gl's bouncyness (I dont think if you hit a car with one of those in real life it would bounce off)... a few other things are messed up, but for the most part the game rocks the way it is

Personally Im fairly happy with the level of realism, by in large its pretty accurate. Yes there are some things which need looking at such as sniper cammo but by in large I think BF2 has reached a good balance, too much realism or too little realism and you lose a large number of players.

I know this now, AFTER I bought the game...definitely not what I thought it was going to be. However, I am fairly happy with the balance now after the patches. I wasn't expecting a sim but I wasn't expecting the quake-like tactics I saw before the patches either.

On a side note, Need_2_Kill, I hear you man. SWAT 3 COOP, now those were the days. Talk about mod support. I loved modding that game and playing it.

Re: How real do you want BF2 to be?

When I bought BF2, I was amazed at the graphics and gameplay, as I never played the old BF games, only games I had before that were really Quake 3, SOF2, SOF1 etc.

I want it realistic but not like if you get shot your sight goes blurry you lose health then collapse, then die.

The way it is now is fine, with realism etc. But they gotta change those miniguns on the USMC transport chopper.

I'de like to see an Ultra Realistic version, where if you get shot and injured, you can't play the game for 3-9 months plus rehab time. If you are shot and killed, you have to buy a whole new copy of the game.

In addition, each character must go through a minimum of 8 weeks of boot camp, where you can be made to wake up at 4am to make your character hike in the rain, do pushups, and learn in a classroom.

You could always have great mods down the road.

                KP 2: Modern Kitchen-Duty
VA Mod: Try to get the VA to pay you for injuries sustained while in the service, and try to live on just a couple of bucks a month until they get things straightened out.
Battlefield 2: National Guard - Fill sandbags! Direct traffic! End up guarding politically important prisoners with little to no experience!
Battlefiend 2: Infidelity - While you're fighting for your nation's survival in exciting places like Kirkland, Dakine Oilfields, and Sharpi Peninsula* - your wife is at home banging half the occupants of base housing! (Press Up to Forgive TF)

                The possibilities are endless!
