What graphics settings would you recommend?

My computer:
AMD XP 2500+ @ 3200+
6800GT 256MB (AGP)
2Gigs RAM
200GB SATA

I want to run the game at 1280*1024 res. 2AA high texture filtering, and VSync on.

I have tryed many drivers and many setting, but it doesnt make much difference if I turn shadows to low or medium or anything else, cus when I'm in crowd I got 20fps and thats crap from a 6800GT ... donno what to do pls help

Hrmm...let's see...you SHOULD be able to run at/near my settings as our systems are extremely similar save for the CPU (I have a A643000+ @ 2.2 GHz).

Here are mine:

Res: 1280x1024x32@75
Terrain: High
Textures: High
Lighting: High
Effects: High
Dynamic Lights: medium
Dyanmic Shadows: medium
Geometry: High
Texture Filtering: High
AA: 2X
View Distance: 100%

Vsync OFF

In all those driver changes and setting changes, have you ever cleaned out the cache folder,

C:\My Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Talus what fps do you got if you play a 64/64 server ?
Tearing annoys me so I would like to keep Vsync on... it shouldnt ruin my fps... (I would like to stay above 40 all the time)

ps.: I always clear the cache folder...

I get between 40 and 100 fps depending on the situation..it CAN dip to around 30 during heavy firefights, but not often.

Sometimes other things going on in your system can be the cause of performance issues.

Sometimes a complete system optimization can be the 'fix'.

-streamline/disable Windows services
-disable all unnecessary background tasks
-tone down Windows GUI effects
-decrease PCI latency value for VGA if you have an AGP graphics card
-optimize/clean registry
-defragment often

4) I need more info about that... donno if it has anything to do with that, but in my driver settings I can see AGP 2x in OS but in everything else 8X is it normal?

I downloaded it and it says that my PCI latency is 248... ok... new latency??

Only if you want Nvidia drivers that won't work (or work very well) with BF2. The last Omega Nvidia drivers are based on the 66.93.
