Found out why Essex is unbalanced

OK so the USMC can baserape airfields all day but its harder for MEC/PLA to baserape US. Here's a list of reasons:
1) essex can lock in on you before you can see it (there is no bomb target on the essex like there is for the IGLA)

2) enemy team can't get in essex

3) essex takes atleast 5-6 sec of machinegun fire and can laucnh 8 missiles in the meantime

4) not sure on this one: essex can be repaired by engineers?

I think #1 though is most annoying though especially with the new ridiculous anti-air. I've been practicing using the flag to offset to the essex to counter this. EA should address this.

1) Wrong.

2) Enemy team doesn't spawn on a small rectangle surrounded by ocean.

3) It could fire 8 missiles or 80, if you use flares it won't be a problem especially if you approach from a direction it doesn't expect.

4) Yes it can be, but that rarely if ever comes into play.

Frankly I find essex users to be sitting ducks, it's a huge target for the planes guns and goes down insanely fast. Also, Essex machine gun rounds have a MAX range; ie if you're a certain distance away they can't hit you at all.

You arent really supposed to attack the essex anyway. it accomplishes nothing. Its so powerful to keep ppl like you away.

I attack it every chance I get, it's easier than stingers to kill and 9/10 times the jackass using it is hosing his own teammates

Really I've attacked the essex numerous times and I've never seen the triangle. I'll admit part of the problem though is my tactics, i do approach it at a rather obvious heading, I'll work on that :P

It's a waste to bomb it anyway, it dies very fast to the plane's guns.

I wish they'd just add a mobile AA unit to Oman so people would stop posting about the Essex.

the essex isn't unbalanced. it's the only defense people that spawn on the ship have against people that like to bomb the ship for easy kills. it's nice that at least there is some defense there. stop crying about it.

the essex is supposed to be superstrong and dangerous to protect the carrier...
Only one prblem: in Iron Gator the essex can shoot down the MEC heli almost from the helipad and it cant realy shoot back with a TV missle...

AA is a joke. I avoid it all day. My secret though. Only worthy foe is a good enemy pilot.

Good pilots can pwn it any day of the week. I've sat on the shores in my attack helo as my co-pilot raped it 1st, then everything else on the carrier with his TV missles.

Its as useful as a ham sandwich in the Olsen twins' refrigerator.

The game has MANY other issues that whether or not the Essex gun is overpowered.... lol

I'll translate:

He's not saying that the Essex gun is too powerful - he's saying that the MEC doesn't have anything nearly as powerful as the Essex (which isn't that powerful) so the MEC have even less power.

Translated further:

He wants to go rape the carrier with his jet, but he can't because the jets from the carrier are raping him.

Make sense?

the powered Essex compensates the fact that it is hard to get on shore with ribs.

peope wich are allready on land dont have that problem. so they don't need a Essex

I think the essex should be even more overpowered to deter base rapers, because after all the essex is a uncappable spawn point and attacking it is kinda lame.
