A new way to play the sniper kit.

I was messing around the other day as sniper instead of sitting back i was rushing alongside the assault players. I discovered that the sniper is very effective upclose, if your a quick shot with your rifle. Also claymores are a very effective close range weapon. So has anybody else found a new way to play a kit?

This is a waste to the team, just be a medic and unlock the l85 whatever it is so you can get team points. It's just as effective as any sniper kit and has a 30 bullet clip.

its the only time i have done it, i was just messing around and was wondering if anyone else had come up with new ways to play a kit.

If you mec or chinese and you can get the semi automatic rifles then these are lethal at medium range, a match for any assault rifle or LMG.

The Chinese sniper is actually a medium range assault rifle.

Well that's just one of the idiotic things in this game. Sniper turns to assault when he picks claymores up and start running around corners. Also it's so damn stupid, that you actually can get killed over 100 meters by snipers pistol(or any pistol whatsoever, I suppose). Those should have max range of around 50 meters as pistols are quite ineffective over that distance.

The SVD is also more of a DMR than a true sniper rifle.

I like the pistol though, I was tearing a new one the other day. Teaching LMG'ers not to mess with a decent pistol shot, and how NOT to chase a sniper. If I've run round a corner its a good bet I've dropped a claymore there for you.

ive ran around a corner and took out a guy in close range with my sniper. it works, yes, but whats the point?

I agree, why choose a less effective tool for the job?

If your going to do infantry work then play one of the infantry classes.

I think he already knows that infantry would be better suited for the job but like he said he was just playing around and trying something different.. jeesh

should have seen me when i first started playing, i grabbed the auto sniper and charged around, anyone coming for me id fire 3 bullets before they got chance to shoot, pwned them every time

Exploit? sigh....It's not an exploit, gimme a break. The guy is looking for feedback on innovative ways to play that kit. Here you come crapping on his thread. Nice attitude.

BTW: If you want to give that guy $50 and reimburse him for the game, please do. Im sure then he would be happy to play the kit anyway YOU want him too.
