Hey, in the past 5 years i have had a desktop pc, laptop pc, and now i have an ibook (mac). Im planning on selling my ibook and using the money to build a pc. My dad is an expert in computers, its his job, and he is doesnt think that building a computer would be a good idea. the last time he built a computer was 6 years ago, he was building a server and it took him 6 months to find out what was wrong with it so he is somewhat "against" the idea of building a pc.
I want to build a pc becausein all of the dell/gateway etc. desktops they dont have exactly what i want. I have a budget of about €600, here is what hardware i had in mind
im not an uber gamer so i dont need the best hardware)
-Gigabyte motherboard with SLI, nforce 4
-1024mb of kingston value ram
-Gigabyte Nvidia Gefore 6800 GS 256mb PCIe
-AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (939, Venice)
-Some kind of Dvd Burner
-Some kind of harddrive/case...
Basically what im asking is, is building a pc very troublesome? Any suggestions on hardware would be welcome.
Edit: Also what kind of case would you suggest, im looking for something in the 50-90 euro range
